What is Augmented Reality ?

A key measure of AR systems is how realistically they integrate augmentations with the real world.

Augmented reality (AR) is a live, direct or indirect, view of a physical, real-world environment whose elements are augmented (or supplemented) by computer-generated sensory input such as sound, video, graphics or GPS data

Gaming and ARThe gaming industry has benefited a

lot from the development of this technology.

Augmented reality allows gamers to experience digital game play in a real world environment.

Our Project – A Game A game based on AR.A single player game running on Mobile

Phones running Android 4.4+ .Objective of the game is to kill all the

opponents and reach the end of the level. The player can create his own levels.

Our ApproachFor building this game we are using marker

based recognition and Vuforia as the SDK.

Phases of development◦ Setup Vuforia and Unity.◦ Read images as markers.◦ Create demo environment for interacting

with objects.◦ Use a game engine(we use Unity) for

rendering graphics and gameplay.

Vuforia SDK

Vuforia Augmented Reality SDK for mobile devices.

It enables the creation of Augmented Reality applications.

It uses Computer Vision technology to recognize and track planar images (Image Targets) and simple 3D objects, such as boxes, in real-time.

Mobile Phones & WindowsThe game is built for both

Android & Windows.Minimum android version is 4.4 . Windows 7,8
