You can compare my film towards the films that are

shown nowadays because it is based upon a gang-related

genre, so the audience should already pick up on what

it’s all about.

The convention isn’t just like any other film but it shows

a PC & Oliver – making the audience realise that instead

of showing a nice, calm environment, we start off with a

wide shot of an interrogation room.

The way that our characters were put together was by

picking out the right people to fit the part of being in a

gang (young, black boys) & also with a couple girls around

their circle to make it seem as if it’s just another ordinary

day.

What they are seen wearing also plays a significant part:

leader wearing all-black, another wearing white but with

his hoodie up & another with a mean face on, to

emphasize how they were feeling when they saw their

victim. All filmed right outside the block with deep, slang

words which always leads to something bad – in this case,

someone getting rushed.

BBC Three would be capable of distributing my product because

that channel is the home of gang-related dramas such as Our

Crime & similar to my product: My Murder.

Both are

The audience would be mainly boys which

are from a black Afro-Caribbean ethnic

background from the ages of 14-25 because

in London, they are the most targeted to be

involved in some sort of affiliation in gangs.

My group carried out a focus group survey

around the college towards 10 random people

varying from the ages of 14-25 because that’s

the age bracket in which gang-related

situations are affected by the most.

I’ve learnt that you need to have co-

ordination and listening skills to

effectively work amongst a group.

And that the Final Cut process has to be

taken into considerate care all the way

e.g. close editing the football section.

Since the preliminary task, I feel as if I've developed a

mature understanding of how every single step has to be

carefully thought out before taking action & how to gather

all the resources to complete the work.
