Niall Ferguson, Laurence A. Tisch Professor of History, HARVARD UNIVERSITY Niall is also a Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University, and a Senior Research Fellow at Jesus College,Oxford. He has published twelve books including Paper and Iron: Hamburg Business and German Politics in the Era ofInflation 1897-1927, Virtual History: Alternatives and Counterfactuals, The Pity of War: Explaining World War One, The World’sBanker: The History of the House of Rothschild & The Cash Nexus: Money and Power in the Modern World, 1700-2000. NiallFerguson is a regular contributor to television with documentaries including, Empire: The Rise and Demise of the British WorldOrder and the Lessons for Global Power, Colossus: The Rise and Fall of the American Empire, (which prompted Timemagazine to name him one of the 100 most influential people in the world). Other successful television adaptations include:

The War of the World: Twentieth-Century Conflict and the Descent of the West,. The Ascent of Money: A Financial History of the World. Peter M. Schoenfeld, Chairman & CEO, PSAM LP.Prior to his current role, Mr. Schoenfeld served as Vice Chairman of Schroder Wertheim & Co. Inc. from1989 through1996 and was a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee since 1983. Beginning in 1978, Mr. Schoenfeld managedthe proprietary trading activities at Wertheim and from 1986 to 1989 he served as Managing Director of SchroderWertheim. Prior to joining Schroder Wertheim, Mr. Schoenfeld managed the arbitrage department of White Weld & Co.for six years as First Vice President.

Bernard Oppetit, Chairman, CENTAURUS CAPITALMr Oppetit founded Centaurus Capital in 2000. Mr Oppetit joined Paribas in 1979, in the Information Technology Department,and moved to the Merchant Banking and Finance Division in 1981. In 1987, he was seconded to Paribas North America inNew York, as a Risk Arbitrage trader. In 1990, he became head of the Risk Arbitrage Department in the US, and started aEuropean activity in 1993. In 1995, while keeping responsibility for Paribas’ global Risk Arbitrage business, he moved toLondon to become head of Equity Derivatives, overseeing Options and Convertible Bonds trading desks in London, Paris,

New York, Tokyo and Singapore. In 2000, he resigned from BNP Paribas to launch Centaurus Capital, one of the largest European hedge fundmanagers, dedicated to “event-driven” and credit strategies. He sits on the Board of Directors of Natixis, and of Tigers Alliance (Vietnam).

Jane Buchan,CEO & Managing Director, PAAMCOAs CEO, Jane is responsible for overall business strategy and firm direction. In addition, she is a Sector Specialistresponsible for the evaluation and management of fixed income relative value hedge funds in the various PAAMCOportfolios. Jane is also a member of the Investment Oversight, Risk Management and Account Management Committees.She is currently serving as chairwoman of the board for the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association (CAIA).

Jamil Baz, Chief Investment Strategist, GLG GROUPJamil has a primary focus on macro. Jamil was a Managing Director and a macro proprietary trader atGoldman Sachs, was instrumental in building PIMCO’s new multi-asset global investment approach andwas the Global Chief Investment Strategist of Deutsche Bank. Jamil has published extensively ontopics such as Asset Allocation, Risk Premia, Term Structure, Option and Swap Pricing and ForeignExchange Trading. Jamil holds degrees from HEC Paris, LSE (MSc), MIT(SM) and Harvard (AM, PhD).

He is a partner at Active Private Equity. He has been an adviser toHM Treasury (1992-97) and a Visiting Professor at the London School of Economics (1988-96).
