Introduction of mahindra

Mahindra & Mahindra was set up as a steel trading company in 1945. It soonexpanded into manufacturing general-purpose utility vehicles, starting withassembly under licence of the iconic WillysJeep in India. Soon established as theJeep manufacturers of India, M&M later branched out into the manufacture oflightcommercial vehicles (LCVs) and agricultural tractors. Today, M&M is the leaderin the utility vehicle segment in India with its flagship UV Scorpio and enjoys agrowing global market presence in both the automotive and tractor businesses.

Over the past few years, M&M has expanded into new industries and geographies.They entered into the two-wheelersegment by taking over Kinetic Motors in India.M&M also has controlling stake in REVA Electric Car Company and acquiredSouth Korea's SsangYong Motor Company in 2011.

The US based Reputation Institute recently ranked Mahindra among the top 10Indian companies in its 'Global 200: The World's Best Corporate Reputations' list.

Petrol engine:

Stroke

1. Intake:-Air & fuel mixture enter cylinder2. Compression:- Air & fuel mixture compressed

3. Power:-spark plug fires

4. Exhaust:-Burnt gases care expelled from the engine.

Diesel Engine:-

1. Intake:- Only Air enter

2. Compression:- Air compressed

3. Power:- Diesel is injected, high air temperature.

4. Exhaust:- Burnt gases care expelled from the engine.

Valves:-

Valves are provided in the engine to breath.

2 valves are required in each cylinder of engine. one for intake and otherfor exhaust.

Camshaft:-

The part of engine which open and close the valve is called

camshaft. The layout of camshaft and valves in the engine is call

camshaft arrangement.
