VALUE-ADDING PERFORMANCE
Danfoss has been a pioneer in the field of non-intrusive flowmeters technologies since 1970.Since then, Danfoss has been at the forefront ofsolving metering problems with innovativesolutions.
Danfoss MAGFLO® electromagnetic flowmetersare a perfect example. They were developed to addvalue to our customers’ operations by improvingaccuracy, simplifying operation and reducing theoverall cost of flowmeter ownership.
MAGFLO®
MAGFLO® flowmeters are the most versatile and widely used type of flowmeters in the world. This is due to their accurate and reliable flow measurement, ease of installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance.
SENSORPROM®
SENSORPROM® is the MAGFLO® flowmeter’s memory unit which is unique for each flowmeter and carries all characteristics.SENSORPROM® ensures correct setup and accurate flow measurement from the first power-up, without programming.
USM II Plug & Play add-on communication modulesUSM II – the Universal Signal Module with “Plug & Play” simplicity makes it easy to access and to integrate the flow measurement with almost any system. It also ensures the flowmeter will be easy to upgrade to new communication platforms in the future.
MAGFLO® VerificatorMAGFLO® Verificator is designed to conduct in-line verification of thecomplete flowmeter system, giving you the assurance and documentation of continuous accuracy.

SENSORPROM® the beauty of superior value for customers Did you know that a big reason flowmeters can’t perform optimally is due to incorrect installation? SENSORPROM® eliminates this risk by storing the flowmeter’s calibration and “fingerprint” data for correct start-up and flowsensor verification. SENSORPROM® automatically sends data to the converter when it is initialized.• No programming or manual input is needed• No human error is possible• SENSORPROM® also contains the sensor’s magnetic properties (fingerprints)
enabling it to conduct high performance verification testing throughout itslifetime of use
• Stores user-setting for easy replacement of converter
USM II Intelligent connectivityUSM II, the Universal Signal Module, enables you to connect flowmeters to your network. It offers a broad range of field busoptions for managing data acquisition and configuring your network. Simply “Plug & Play” interface designed with an open architecture that guarantees compatibility with existing and future communication available platforms.
• Plug & Play add-on modules for easy gateway from one communication platform to another, without loss of existing IO interface and functionality:– Profibus DP, PA– DeviceNet– HART– CANopen
• Displays the same flow measurement on several converters simultaneously
• Enables remote configuration and access to flowmeter information
• Upgrading to emerging communication standards is as easy as snapping on a new add-on modules

CALIBRATION
To ensure continuous accurate flow measurement, flowmeters must be calibrated. MAGFLO® calibration is conducted at accredited Danfoss FlowCalibration facilities that have a reputation for being among the best in theworld. They are accredited after EN 45001 EA by UKAS and DANAK and aretracable to NIST.A calibration certificate is shipped with every sensor, and calibration data isstored in the SENSORPROM®. Under the calibration test a “fingerprint” of theflowmeter is captured and stored in the SENSORPROM®.This unique finger-print is then used for verification and describes the magnetic properties of thesensor. Danfoss Calibration complies with the ISO 9001 Quality ManagementSystem and our facilities are located in the United Kingdom and Denmark.
SENSORPROM®
Under calibration the following parameters are stored in the SENSORPROM®:• Sensor information and identification • Calibration parameters• Fingerprint parameters• Factory settings
How we calibrateDanfoss flowmeters are individually calibrated atour accredited calibration facilities. Each convertermust pass electronic tests to ensure correct processing of the sensor signal, regardless of theconnected sensor. This achieves a highly flexibleflow program and allows any sensor to be connected with any converter. It is also your guarantee for flow measurement accuracy evenwhen a converter is replaced.• High accuracy with 0.1% calibrating certainty• UKAS accredited calibration laboratory #0301• Documentation for ISO 9000 and ISO 14001
management system.
Flowmeters for Custody TransferDanfoss has type approvals on MAGFLO® flowmeters from PTB (type approvals for cold water), OIML R75 and OIML R117.Custody transfer approved meters are standard flowmeters, calibrated in an accredited calibration facility and sealed to avoidreadjustment of the meter after calibration.
Calibration in automated test rigs means no risk for human errors.Thescales are direct traceability to the basis reference kilogram.Thereforethe traceability reference is extremely accurate and reliable, with fulltraceability to international standards including NIST.
