I have looked at different magazine covers that

have helped with inspiration for my music magazine

and to choose my genre. I have looked at colours and

fonts that are popular in this genre of magazine. One

main thing in common is the large image used on the

front cover and the bold eye catching masthead.

POP

SUMMARY OF POP

Within pop magazines there is a broad range of colours used within

each different style of magazine. Looking at the colours of a pop

magazine it seems to be that they are all aimed at teenage girls as the

colours are pinks, purples, oranges and whites. The language used in

magazines are simple and easy to read which implies that they are

based on teenagers as they like the audience the read the magazine

but be able to get straight to the point. Images in pop magazines are

usually based on the latest pop stars which relates to teenagers

because this is usually what teenage girls are listening too.

R&B

SUMMARY OF R&B

In R&B magazines there is a different range of colours used within

each different magazine. Looking at the colours of a R&B magazine it

seems to be that they are all either very bright or quite dark and scary.

The language used in magazines are simple and easy to read which

implies that they are based on teenagers and young people as they like

the audience the read the magazine but be able to get straight to the

point. Images in R&B magazines are usually based on the latest pop

stars which relates to teenagers and younger people because this is

usually what the younger generation are listening too.

CLASSICAL

SUMMARY OF CLASSICAL

In Classical magazines there is a different range of colours used

within each different magazine. Looking at the colours of a Classical

magazine it seems to be that they are all either bright or dark. The

language used in magazines are based on good English and but yet

easy to read which implies that they are based on older generation as

they like the audience the read the magazine and be able to get relate

to it. Images in Classical magazines are usually based on the stars

which are the same age as the readers which relates to them as they

can relate back because this is usually what the older generation are

listening too.
