AUDIENCE
The target audience for the magazine ‘Q’ is mainly teenagers who have an interest in music. Q magazine is sold at £4.99 which is relatively cheap so is targeted at working/middle class audience.
LANGUAGE
The feature I found in the magazine Q was an article on Noel Gallagher. The writing is quite informal as in his speech he uses informal language such as “summat” instead of “something”. This shows that the magazine is addressing younger, working/middle class audiences.
The magazine ‘Q’ sells this issue of the magazine with two different covers which they say “collect them both” on them. This shows that they are trying to convince people to by both of them but also so that the magazine appeals to both people who would prefer one of the band members being on the cover than the other. For example, the two band members on the covers (Noel Gallagher – left) and (Liam Gallagher – right) are brothers who aren’t particularly close anymore so they’ve sold the magazine as two different covers to make it look like they have a rivalry.
