The colour scheme is black and white which are colours that are normally associated with men. Which tells you that the target audience is aimed at men and people who like rap music.

The white background makes the picture and words stand out more, so you are more likely to notice it on a shelf. It uses big bold font so it will catch your eye from a distance.

Eminem is looking directly at the camera showing he is confident.

He has his arms crossed showing his aggression, his face also shows this.

He has a top on which reveals his muscles and tattoos which makes him look powerful and confident. This is a very stereotypical male.

Eminem is in the middle of the magazine and his head even covers some of the title showing he is important and will be featured in the magazine. This will encourage people to buy the magazine.

On the banner they are Using a question makes you feel more involved because its talking to you directly.

Making out like other rap magazines aren't as “real” as this one.

Writing a list of famous people will encourage people to buy the magazine because if they like one of these artist they will buy it because they know they are mentioned inside.

Makes you want to buy the magazine and find out who the 50 hottest rap blogs are.

By asking questions and then saying “you decide” you are making the reader think that they have control of what is written in the magazine which will encourage them to buy it because they will feel like they have taken part.

Its naming another celebrity which will be inside and asking you a question which you will get the answer to if you buy the magazine.

Name dropping a bunch of celebrity's hoping that people will see that there favourt artist is in this magazine so they will buy this magazine over all the others in the shop.

The title is bold which makes it stand out. It is a little bit hidden by Eminem's head which shows the magazine is confident that it will be recognised. It also follows the red and black colour scheme. The word “vibe” describes a musical atmosphere which shows you it is a music magazine.

• Quoting Eminem and writing something dramatic like “I literally almost died” and saying “Eminem comes clean” makes you think that Eminem is going to be truthful and say a lot of dramatic things inside the magazine which will encourage you to purchase the magazine.

• By quoting Eminem it will make people feel like they are building a personal relationship with him.

• by writing the list of drugs it could encourage people who like drugs to by the magazine and find out what Eminem has taken.

• It is unusual that Eminem is covering his own name, this shows that he is so famous people will just recognise him from a picture.

• The house style is the same for all the vibe magazines but this time they have changed the colour of the title to make it have a gradient effect.

• The bold text and mid shot convers to the codes and conventions.
