Topics cov-ered include dog laws, grooming, nutrition and behavior problems. Puppy KindergartenThe class will learn the secrets of successful puppy training. The puppies will be taught to relinquish an object, enter/exit commands, the off command and how to retrieve. The puppy will learn basic manners and obedience commands. Information will be given on dog laws, grooming, puppy proofing your home, just to name a few. The dog handler must be a minimum of 12 years old. The puppy must have the required vaccina-tion and proof must be provided at the first class. Sign Language 1Students learn basic skills of the American Sign Language (ASL) used by and for the deaf. This is an introductory course for those wanting to learn a second language or those who want to communicate with people who are deaf or hard of hearing. Clinical and cultural aspects are cov-ered as well as basic tips on how to best com-municate with people who have hearing loss. Receptive and expressive sign vocabulary build-ing activities are introduced through class activi-ties stressing conversational skills. Students learn basic ASL questions, commands, and simple sentences. Information about the deaf community is also presented. This course will guide students through the pro-cess of developing artwork for comic books and graphic novels.
