Unfortunately, this month’s article was written before the Christmas Holiday so I can only hope and pray that all of you had a wonderful Christmas regardless of Covid 19 and the restrictions we are dealing with. Now with a new year upon us we can continue to share the Christmas Spirit through the whole year. I do hope you model railroaders are able to share your talents and experience with your family and new modelers that have been coming into the hobby or those returning to the hobby. Since the pandemic has kept many people home it seems that model railroading has increased. Did you receive some new equipment for Christmas? Are you sharing or have you hid yourself in your basement? You can share via social media and direct e-mail. It must get lonely in that basement shut off from the world. Get busy and share, contact your friends, your club members, family, even a local hobby shop may need your help. It seems that our local and federal governments want to keep us from having a social life and who knows what kind of conspiracies are being built from that? There’s a few things that I need to mention and review.This Covid 19 has changed many things including how we do business. We’d prefer orders be placed through our web site as we now can show what might be out of stock and we have more inventory control. If you don’t have a computer or are not really computer savvy we’ll still take your orders by other means. Customs everywhere are much slower for many reasons, expect delays in certain areas. Please note on foreign orders that Kadee has nothing to do with customs fees and taxes when your order arrives in your country. Unfortunately, we are experiencing delays and back orders on certain products. This is something we rarely had in the past. We, however, are working as fast as we can to catch up with the demand. There are many HO couplers that we do not “Bulk” pack and that’s mostly because they are not in a high enough demand as a bulk pack. Bulk packing NEM couplers will not change the price per coupler.We do not drop ship for dealers. Through this next year expect changes as things will never be the same again, even when we are “free” again. We need to do all we can to make this new year a Happy New Year.
