I’m a Freshman at Benton High School (BHS) and I graduate in the year 2015

Hello there, my name is Devone “The Awesome” Maddox. I like to do many things. I like to play basketball with my brothers and friends. I played basketball since my 5th grade year and even made it on my 8th grade basketball team.

! ! Devone’s Personal Essay I was born on January 13, 1996 and I’m 16 years old. I’m also not looking to growing up and not being a kid anymore. I’m a freshman at Benton High School. I’m still not sure what I want to be when I grow up. My dream job is to be in the NBA, but they probably not going to happen because their’s less than 1% you will go professional at any sport.

Now i’m going to tell you about my sport life. I’ve been doing track and field since the 4th grade in elementary. I only did the running events, like the 100 meter dash and the 50 meter dash. That was in elementary. When middle school came around, I did the 200 meter dash, the 400 meter dash, and sometimes the 100 meter dash. I also started playing basketball in the 5th grade. I have my friends to thanks about that because they told be I should and since at that time I didn’t like to tell people no i did. I’m glad, I did played because when middle school cam around I played in 7th and 8th grade basketball. I was the only one on my elementary basketball team who made it on the 8th grade team. I couldn’t do basketball nor track this year because I had to get my appendix taken out.

When I started going to school during elementary. I hated it with a passion. It was the most boring thing, I have ever done. That didn’t stop me from getting the good grades I have today. I keep As and B’s all the way up til my 2nd semester of my freshman year. I got my appendix taken out and i missed the first month of 3rd quarter, and when I got back I was failing all of my classes, but I raised them all the way up to B’s and C’s. The forth quarter came around and I was sick for most of it too.

Now I’m going to tell you about my home life. There’s not much to it. I play basketball when I get home from school. I go swimming when the weathers nice. I play video games like the normal teenage kid. My house gets boring to me, but friends and family thinks its the coolest place to be.

Maddox is a mainly male name in use

English speaking countries derived from

a Welsh surname meaning "son of

Madoc." Madoc or Madog was a

legendary Welsh prince who in Welsh

folklore sailed to the New World three

"mad". This is funny because when my

dad was growing up his nickname was

madog. Like many other last names,

seen it spelt maddox, maddix, and

a MLB player, who was a eight-times

gold Glove Award winner. Anthony

Maddox played in the NFL as a

defensive tackle. Elliot Maddox also

played in the MLB. I was wondering how

politics has gotten in our family. Lester

Garfield was the 75th governor of the

state of Georgia from 1967 to 1971.

Kenneth W. Maddox was also an

American Politician. Most of the people

who came to America settled in San

Francisco or Virginia.

record was held by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar with 38,387 and Devone has 38,389. He broke the record against the LA Lakers, the same team that Kareem

played for when he set the record. There’s not a better time to brake the record, then on your birthday. Yes,

Devone, was born on January 13, 1996. He broke the record off of a buzzer beater three point shot. some people say it was luck, but to me it seem like

skill because this isn’t the only buzzer beater he hit this year. The coach said, “ Luck or not we still won the game. It
