WINNER - BEST PRODUCTION 2012/13Critics Awards For Theatre In Scotland

I keep a tight list. Very detailed. I stick to it. Even moreso since she died. But I’m having trouble.

Winner of the prestigious Herald Angel, Fringe Firstand CATS Awards, The List is a masterpiece of modernstorytelling. Maureen Beattie (27, The Enquirer)stars as a woman struggling to adjust to rural life.Increasingly isolated, she keeps her life in orderthrough obsessive list making. As her marriagestruggles she befriends Caroline. When Carolinerequests a favour she adds it to her list. The differencebetween remembering to do it, and neglecting to takeit seriously, becomes the difference between lifeand death.

RODELINDA

TUE 15 OCT 7:30PM£14 / £5 (UNDER 26)

Against a backdrop of faded Baroque grandeur, a castof very contemporary characters tells a compellingtale of tyranny, love and the corrupting nature ofpower in one of Handel’s most successful operas.Bertarido, King of Lombardy, has been defeated inbattle and his enemy Grimoaldo has seized his throne.Bertarido's queen, Rodelinda, mourns bitterly, littleknowing that her husband is feigning death in orderto exact revenge. Alone in a world of ruthlessMachiavellian intrigue, where every wall has ears, she agrees to marry Grimoaldo.

Sung in English, Scottish Opera’s Rodelinda isaccompanied by three instrumentalists onharpsichord, violin and cello. The sensuous scoreis full of fragility, beauty and darkness, contrastingmoments of frantic energy with those of exquisitestillness, reflecting the human passions at its core.

Once Upon A Time in a far, far, faraway land - furtherthan even Falkirk - lived a handsome young Prince anda beautiful young girl named Belle.

Stirling Stella is not a happy place. The recession is STILLin full force and Bunty Buntock is concerned about her twochildren, Belle and Sebastian... Belle is sick of men -especially her psycho-ex Gaston, who keeps slapping histhighs and declaring Belle his prize. All Belle wants is herequal (oh and to win the Stirling Stella Showchoircompetition). Sebastian is tired of being the silly billy, if onlythe local evil witch Valentina Rizzla would notice him. Andthink on poor Prince Matthew Creepy-Crawley, confined tothe ground of Bouffin Abbey. He used to be the heart-throbof Stirling Stella, and now thanks to an evil curse he’sscarier than Bigfoot. Who would know that a stolenrose - and a Showchoir final - would change their livesforever. The greatest love story in the pantosphere asyou've never heard it before. Part Grease, part DowntonAbbey and a whole lot of fun!
