Macro Photography Research
Erin McHugh
Macro photography is extremely close up photography that captures the details of an object. It most often has the lens bigger than the subject of the image.
What is macro photography?
Examples Of Macro
This is a nice macro shot of two ladybugs from John Carbone on gettyimages.com
This is a great macro shot of an eye by Tatiana Maktora on shutterstock.com! I really like the way the yellow and blue
look
THIS BUTTERFLY PICTURE IS A GREAT MACRO EXAMPLE BECAUSE YOU CAN SEE GREAT DETAIL IN THE WINGS AND ON THE FLOWER!
IT CAN BE FOUND AT: http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-photo-9943284-clearwing-butterfly-greta-oto.php?st=1482fbe
THIS COLORED PENCIL PHOTO REALLY CAPTURES THE CONCEPT OF MACRO PHOTOGRAPHY BY SHOWING THE DETAILS IN THE
WOOD OF EACH PENCIL. IT IS BY MAX RIESGO ON SHUTTERSTOCK.COM
THIS PICTURE OF A RAINBOW CRAB IS ANOTHER GREAT EXAMPLE OF MACRO PHOTOGRAPHY BECAUSE IT CAPTURES ALL
THE DETAILS OF THE CRABS SHELL! BY TORMIK TOPUS ON SHUTTERSTOCK.COM
Macro photography is done well in this photo. The way you can see each wisp of the dandelion shows how close the
photographer got! It can be found on shutterstock.com by Svetlana Lukiento
Macro photography can’t be shot with film cameras we used in the beginning of the year. While point and shoot cameras can work, but single-lens reflex cameras are the best. They have special lenses that can capture extreme close up detail that other lenses can’t.
