Olive has been charged with resisting a peace officer in which the defendant allegedly know- ingly prevented an officer from breaking up a fight and pushed the officer’s hand and swung his arm, striking the officer with his elbow. Heisman, 22, of Raymond has been charged with possession of a firearm in con- nection with an Oct. 13 incident in which the defendant allegedly knowingly possessed a firearm without the requisite firearm own- er’s identification card. DUIs Thomas R. Shackelford, 39, of O’Fallon has been charged with driving under the influence in con- nection with an Oct. 5 incident in which the defendant allegedly knowingly drove a 2010 black Toyota in the vicinity of North Ma- coupin and Gillespie streets at ap- proximately 12:32 a.m. The defen- dant also was issued citations for improper turn signal and failure to notify the Secretary of State’s of- fice of an address change. Rebecca Deal-Young, 39, of Li- tchfield has been charged with two counts of driving the influence in connection with an Oct. 13 inci- dent in which the defendant alleg- edly knowingly drove a 2011 blue Nissan in the vicinity of Route 16 and Hornsby Road at approxi- mately 12 a.m. The defendant also was issued improper lane usage, illegal transportation/carrying of alcohol and speeding 40-plus mph above the speed limit as she was clocked traveling 100 mph in a 55 mph zone. Eric S. Damm, 25, of Palmyra was involved in a single-vehicle accident Oct. 17 on West Scott- ville Road an estimated half mile east of Mt. Zion Road in Scot- tville Township at approximately 6:20 a.m. Damm, westbound in a 2005 Dodge Magnun, said a rac- coon ran in front of his vehicle. He was unable to avoid striking the animal. No injuries were re- ported and no citations were is- sued. The vehicle sustained front- end damage and was driven from the scene. Austin B. Godfrey, 23, of Carl- inville and Janelle A. Lehr, 55, of Fidelity were involved in a two- vehicle accident Oct. 17 on Route 111 an estimated quarter mile south of Tremont Lane at approximately 3:28 p.m. Lehr was northbound in a 2008 Freightliner school bus with the vehicle’s yellow warn- ing lights and preparing to make a stop, according to the accident report from the Illinois State Po- lice. Godrey was northbound in a 1994 Infiniti. Lehn activated the red stop lights, stop sign and stop arm. Godfrey said he thought the school bus was finishing up the stop and looked down to grab a cup. At that time, Godfrey began to accelerate and looked up to see the bus was stopped. The front of the Infiniti struck the right rear of the bus, according to the ISP re- lease. The Infiniti went up a drive- way, struck a tree, spun around and came to rest on a large tractor tire approximately 60 yards from Route 111. Lehr refused medical treatment. Sixteen children were on the school bus. One child com- plained of minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Carlinville Area Hospital. Godfrey was is- sued a citation for failure to re- duce speed to avoid an accident. in the 100 block of East First North Street, case was referred to Macoupin County Animal Con- trol. Huffmaster, 24, of Brighton has been charged with cruelty to animals and failure of owner’s duties to animals in con-nection with a July 31 incident in which the defendant allegedly knowingly abandoned a white, tan bull terrier and also failed to provide the animal sufficient vet-erinarian care when needed to pre-vent suffering.

Randy J. Aubuschon, 40, of Mt. Olive has been charged with resisting a peace officer in which the defendant allegedly know-ingly prevented an officer from breaking up a fight and pushed the officer’s hand and swung his arm, striking the officer with his elbow.

Michael W. Heisman, 22, of Raymond has been charged with possession of a firearm in con-nection with an Oct. 13 incident in which the defendant allegedly knowingly possessed a firearm without the requisite firearm own-er’s identification card.

DUIsThomas R. Shackelford, 39, of

O’Fallon has been charged with driving under the influence in con-nection with an Oct. 5 incident in which the defendant allegedly knowingly drove a 2010 black Toyota in the vicinity of North Ma-coupin and Gillespie streets at ap-proximately 12:32 a.m. The defen-dant also was issued citations for improper turn signal and failure to notify the Secretary of State’s of-fice of an address change.

Rebecca Deal-Young, 39, of Li-tchfield has been charged with two counts of driving the influence in connection with an Oct. 13 inci-dent in which the defendant alleg-edly knowingly drove a 2011 blue Nissan in the vicinity of Route 16 and Hornsby Road at approxi-mately 12 a.m. The defendant also was issued improper lane usage, illegal transportation/carrying of alcohol and speeding 40-plus mph above the speed limit as she was clocked traveling 100 mph in a 55 mph zone.

Eric S. Damm, 25, of Palmyra was involved in a single-vehicle accident Oct. 17 on West Scott-ville Road an estimated half mile east of Mt. Zion Road in Scot-tville Township at approximately 6:20 a.m. Damm, westbound in a 2005 Dodge Magnun, said a rac-coon ran in front of his vehicle. He was unable to avoid striking the animal. No injuries were re-ported and no citations were is-sued. The vehicle sustained front-end damage and was driven from the scene.

Austin B. Godfrey, 23, of Carl-inville and Janelle A. Lehr, 55, of Fidelity were involved in a two-vehicle accident Oct. 17 on Route 111 an estimated quarter mile south of Tremont Lane at approximately 3:28 p.m. Lehr was northbound in a 2008 Freightliner school bus with the vehicle’s yellow warn-ing lights and preparing to make a stop, according to the accident report from the Illinois State Po-lice. Godrey was northbound in a 1994 Infiniti. Lehn activated the red stop lights, stop sign and stop arm. Godfrey said he thought the school bus was finishing up the stop and looked down to grab a cup. At that time, Godfrey began to accelerate and looked up to see the bus was stopped. The front of the Infiniti struck the right rear of the bus, according to the ISP re-lease. The Infiniti went up a drive-way, struck a tree, spun around and came to rest on a large tractor tire approximately 60 yards from Route 111. Lehr refused medical treatment. Sixteen children were on the school bus. One child com-plained of minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Carlinville Area Hospital. Godfrey was is-sued a citation for failure to re-duce speed to avoid an accident.
