Milestones and Successes Related Documents Acvies and Events Products and Resources Areas of Emphasis Home Macomb Community College (MCC) Signed: September 26, 2005; Renewed: February 5, 2009; April 23, 2012; November 19, 2015; June 15, 2019 The Michigan Occupaonal Safety & Health Administraon (MIOSHA) and Macomb Community College (MCC) recognize the value of establishing a collaborave relaonship to foster safer and more healthful Michigan workplaces. To that end, MIOSHA and MCC herby form an Alliance to strengthen and grow the MIOSHA Training Instute (MTI). Training and Educaon: All goals and objecves of this alliance revolve around training and educaon offered through the MTI. This alliance will support the MTI in the creaon and maintenance of quality instrucon fol- lowing best pracces in instruconal design principles. Outreach and Communicaon: Members of industry will connue to have the opportunity to provide input on MTI through the parcipaon in the MTI Advisory Board, feedback sessions, pilot courses, new iniave surveys, and through the ongoing parcipant involvement and feedback in MTI courses. Macomb will present the successes of the MTI at regional and naonal workforce educaon conferences. MIOSHA will present the successes of the MTI at safety conferences and exposions. Communicaon through the Advisory Boards of Macombs Workforce Development and Pub- lic Service Instute will provide an avenue for input on relevant training topics for industry. MIOSHA staff will connuously promote the benefits and successes of the MTI to members of industry.

The Michigan Occupational Safety amp Health Administration (MIOSHA) and Macomb Community College (MCC) recognize the value of establishing a collaborative relationship to foster safer and more healthful Michigan workplaces To that end MIOSHA and MCC herby form an Alliance to strengthen and grow the MIOSHA Training Institute (MTI)

Training and Education

All goals and objectives of this alliance revolve around training and education offered through the MTI This alliance will support the MTI in the creation and maintenance of quality instruction fol-lowing best practices in instructional design principles

Outreach and Communication

bull Members of industry will continue to have the opportunity to provide input on MTI through the participation in the MTI Advisory Board feedback sessions pilot courses new initiative surveys and through the ongoing participant involvement and feedback in MTI courses

bull The MTI is administered through Macombrsquos Public Service Institute (PSI) and Workforce Devel-

opment Institute (WDI) focused on maintaining Michiganrsquos competitive edge in the global econ-

omy - assisting industry in sustaining a highly skilled workforce and supporting meaningful em-

ployment opportunities The colleges workforce development and training programs are devel-

oped in conjunction with the business and labor community and MTI events are hosted at the

Emergency Services Training Center in Clinton Township as well as the Michigan Technical Edu-

cation Center (M-TEC) in Warren
