Farewell and Thank You This week Mr Brad Griffith visited our school to let us know that he has been successful in gaining another Principal School Leadership (PSL) position. Mr Griffith has been in this role, helping schools and principals for the past 6 months. To continue in this role he needed to relinquish his position here as principal of Macksville Public School. That means that we will continue to have a relieving principal here at Macksville in Term 1 next year with the aim to appoint a new permanent principal in Term 2. I'd like to say thank you to Mr Griffith for the work he has done here at Macksville PS and wish him all the very best for the future. MACKSVILLE PUBLIC SCHOOL Enrol Now At The Family School

Farewell and Thank You

This week Mr Brad Griffith visited our school to let us know that he has been successful in

gaining another Principal School Leadership (PSL) position.

Mr Griffith has been in this role, helping schools and principals for the past 6 months. To continue

in this role he needed to relinquish his position here as principal of Macksville Public School. That means that we will continue to have a

relieving principal here at Macksville in Term 1 next year with the aim to

appoint a new permanent principal in

Term 2.

I'd like to say thank you to Mr Griffith for the work he

has done here at Macksville PS and wish him all the very best for

the future.

Teacher Learning On Monday Mrs Beauchamp, Mr Clouten and Mrs Ronan went to Building Numeracy Training. These teachers worked together to develop a plan for teaching maths in 2018. Mrs Herron, Mrs Clogan and Mrs Bradley have also been busy, with them each giving an L3 presentation to teachers from other schools. These teachers were asked to create a presentation based on their Literacy lessons. Thanks Mrs Beauchamp for supporting our teachers with their L3 training. Have a Go Show Next week we will be holding our Have a Go Show. It's been great to see our students rehearsing at lunchtime. Good luck to all of our performers. Swim and Survive Thank you to all of our students and teachers for working so hard during our Swim and Survive lessons. Tomorrow is our last lesson at the pool. Students are allowed to bring a small amount of money to spend at the pool canteen. End of Year Reports Our teachers have been very busy preparing their Semester 2 reports. They have been looking at lots of different assessments and work samples to help them write these reports. It has been great to see the progress our students have made over the year. The reports will be sent home on December 8th. Uncle Ritchie Thanks for coming to our school Uncle Ritchie. Our classes always enjoy doing sport with you. Yesterday teams worked on their throwing and catching skills. There were some classic catches made by Kindergarten and Year 6!

LAKE AINSWORTH CAMP 2017

“Lake Ainsworth 2017 Excursion was full of fun and excitement. Students from 5C, 5L and 4/5M travelled to Lake Ainsworth Sport and Rec Camp on Monday 20th November for a five day camp. Our students were able to try their hand at high ropes courses, rock climbing, archery, sailing, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding and many more activities. Each night, our school was able to mix with three other schools, including an international Chinese school for games, trivia and recreation. All of our campers had a terrific time and were Sporting NSW Sport and Rec memorabilia on return to school. Thank you to Ms Low and all the wonderful students who made this excursion a fantastic time." ~ Mr Adam Rumsey
