The new MACH 1040 Full Gigabit EthernetSwitch is an IP30 Layer-2 switch with 16Gigabit Ethernet combo ports (10/100/1000TX (RJ45) or 100/1000 FX (SFP). All portssupport version 2 o Precision Time Protocolin accordance with IEEE 1588 V2 and has

optional Power over Ethernet (IEEE 802.3a).Sotware is currently under developmentto enable this switch to be used as a router,providing an upgrade path or uturenetwork needs.

Designed or assembly in 19 cabinets, thean-less MACH1040 uses the latest energy-saving chip technology. Electrical Substation

Automation as well as a Multitude o OtherHarsh, Mission-Critical Applications. Its ruggedmetal housing measures 448 by 44 by 310 mmin width, height and depth. Rapid deploymentis ensured through the 10-second boot timeand the compatibility with the ACA 21-USB -a conguration storage device that providesmutli-device conguration and devicereplacement ease.

Alarm contacts are available or providingdetailed inormation which can be displayedby means o a standard web browser.Additional management unctions includeCommand Line Interace, ManagementInormation Base, Telnet, HTTP, TFTP as

well as SFP Management. In addition, anSNMP interace permits the use o networkmanagement sotware, such as HiVision andHiDiscovery.

Media redundancy mechanisms procedures,e.g. Fast HIPER Ring, MRP, Trunking, LinkAggregation and Rapid Spanning Tree (RSTP),dual power inputs and quality componentsprovide or high network availability. Securitymechanisms include access control accordingto IEEE 802.1x, IP and MAC port security aswell as SNMP V3 and SSH.
