MACH 2018MACH is the UK’s premier event to showcase engineering-basedmanufacturing technologies. Taking place from 9-13 April 2018,MACH is poised to be the destination of choice for engineers andmanufacturers, bringing together the best of UK manufacturingunder one roof.

Across a 5 day period, the exhibition attracts more than 25,000visitors – many with real purchasing power – all seeking to gain aninsight into new technologies, learn new techniques, shareknowledge, help develop talent and form new business relationships.

MACH is owned and organised by the Manufacturing TechnologiesAssociation (MTA), a not-for-profit organisation dedicated topromoting the advanced manufacturing and engineering industry.

MACH delivered for WNT with a record number of visitors to our stand and an

excellent enquiry level. The overall positive attitude was very encouraging and provides an optimistic outlook for UK manufacturing in general.

MACH 2018A new home at the NEC

These new developments combine to ensure MACH 2018 continues as the

UK's premier festival for advanced manufacturing and engineering, improving the visitor experience while providing an exciting

new home for the show.

New Halls & More Entrances

MACH 2018 will be moving to a new set of halls at theNEC. In one uninterrupted, single space on one level, thenew home for MACH will be halls 17,18,19, 20, 6 and 7.This also ensures there will be even more entrances toMACH – six entrances are planned for 2018.

Room for Growth

Using this new space means we will be able to stage theexhibition in a way that provides a bigger range of greatlocations for your exhibition stand. The move also means wewill have additional space to be able to grow the exhibition inthe years to come. The new home of MACH is situated in awider space where there are fewer aisles from the front to theback of the exhibition – meaning exhibitors are closer to thehall entrances.

New Technology Zones

With 18 focused zones and pavilions, MACH 2018 is very easy tonavigate for visitors to ensure they get to see your company andproducts. There are a number of new focused zones for the 2018show, reflecting the diverse nature of UK advanced manufacturing.

Clean Room facilities are essential to much of modern manufacturing.Guaranteeing an appropriate environment is a vital part of many processes andoften necessary for conformity to the latest international standards. This focus onClean Room Technology is designed for companies supplying products, servicesand systems in this specialist area and includes filtration systems, anti-contamination equipment, anti-bacteriological technology, electro-magneticisolation equipment, radiological metering – and much more.

IT for Manufacturing

The digital revolution is transforming the ways in whichmanufacturing businesses and processes can be controlledand optimised – information is collectable and useable asnever before with ERP systems combining financial, resourceand process data, transforming business capability. The focuson IT for Manufacturing gives supplier companies theopportunity to showcase their systems and applications forthe engineering and manufacturing sectors.

As more and more information moves into the digital realm itbecomes vulnerable to new threats. Cybersecurity is a growingarea and no business can afford to be left behind if it wants totake part in global supply chains. The new area for Cybersecurityat MACH 2018 provides a focus for companies supplying systemsand products in this emerging field.

With the change of halls comes a change of stand bookingprocess. The ballots for MTA member companies wishing to bookin excess of 200sqm are retained but in a new move, stands under200sqm and other selected larger stands are available to reservenow by both members and non-members – please contact theMACH sales team for more information.

Enhanced In-Hall Catering

MACH’s new home will have closer parking for both exhibitors andvisitors. Parking areas are in closer proximity and there is more spacearound the halls to use during the build-up and break-down periods.

A table service restaurant has been added to theshow, increasing the number of in-hall restaurantsand food outlets at MACH, ensuring visitors spendmore time within the halls.Closer Parking
