Macbeth Footwear was Co-founded in 2002 by platinum selling musician Tom DeLonge, known for fronting such acts as Blink-182, Box Car

Racer and Angels & Airwaves. With rock music as his muse, DeLonge assembled a team of talented individuals to develop fashion-forward

products that were inspired by the music scene and the action sports lifestyle of Southern California that he grew up in. Since

2002, Macbeth has been at the forefront of collaborative efforts with musicians, athletes and artists, creating a blended

culture of products for everyday people.

The Macbeth Studio Project series is our custom footwear program created in collaboration with the Macbeth Family of Artists. We work closely with each artist to design products that reflect their individual personality and sense of creativity.

The goal of the Studio Project series is to give the people who inspire the Macbeth lifestyle a new form of expression. We focus on using unique materials, colors and custom artwork to help convey the vision of each artist on classic Macbeth silhouettes.

So here’s the deal: space was supposed to be the final frontier, but here at Macbeth we’re set

to embark on a whole new horizon of hope, style, and quality for 2010. In search of this year’s theme,

we turned our gaze to the heavens as they have always held an immeasurable sense of captivation, creativity, and

awe. Our goal is to replicate just that. As with the daring attempts of the Apollo missions and the ever-famous Space

Race, Macbeth has chosen a similar path of adventure and inspiration for this year’s product lineup. Every voyage begins with

a first step, and likewise ours was the implication of Apollo-themed colorways, and tech-savvy products to get this mission off on the

right foot this year. As always, Macbeth has also utilized modern design on classic silhouettes to symbolically

render the goals of this year’s new theme.

We aim to equip the global traveler, from every walk of life, with the newest twists on our classic

Macbeth standards and products. Whether you’re mobbing around town, hell-bent on

two wheels, kicking it in the studio, or just shredding on tour, Macbeth’s got your

back. We’re not into that petty “one small step for man” shenanigans,

rather we’re taking one hell of an adventure for mankind.

Davey Havok, founder of Zu Boutique and front man for Blaqkaudio and East Bay rock band AFI, is a name well recognized in the rock community for his solid stage presence and persona. As with his music, Havok is

constantly trying to progress and shatter the mold, which makes him a perfect fit for our newest Studio Project

collaboration shoe. The release will encompass all the zest and glamour of Havok’s very own Zu

Boutique, while still holding onto the seal of Macbeth. The project is sure to redefine our

classic Eliot’s, but forward thinking is what Havok’s always been about. Vegan has

never looked so good.

A San Diego native, Thomas DeLonge picked up the guitar and a carne asada burrito at thirteen and hasn’t put either

down since. Using his talent for creating catchy pop-punk anthems, he quickly rose to the top of the charts, selling

25 million albums with the band Blink182. In 2006, Tom left Blink182 and then side-project Box Car Racer, to start a

new music movement he called, Angels And Airwaves. Tom reunited with his Blink 182 band mates in 2009 for

a sold out US/Canada tour.

The Brighton is Macbeth’s newest and most comfortable shoe! In 1964 hundreds of Mods and Rockers took to the streets in the English town of Brighton clashing and rioting and running through the streets to get away from the police...You should check out the movie Quadrophenia for a better idea about the event that inspired the shoe. With all that running from the cops, we were inspired to design a modern update to a classic t-toe jogger featuring a completely new outsole with medial arch wrap as well as an exposed molded eva midsole. Hidden within the heel of the eva midsole is an additional soft cushion pocket for added heel impact reduction. “Zero Seam” lining construction with a small amount of padding allows the upper form to your foot like the shoe was custom made to fit your foot!

As a high-top, the Schubert offers increased ankle support to our low profile vulcanized outsole. The Schubert is a great update to the classic Macbeth line, a great extension to the Matthew and Eliot customer.

The Matthew takes it's name from Macbeth founder Thomas Matthew DeLonge. Its extremely low profile vulcanized look was inspired by Tom's need to feel his guitar peddles while playing onstage in Angels and Airwaves. This shoe is a great addition for the Eliot customer.

MATT HENSLEYSTUDIO PROJECT

Matt Hensley is a true renaissance man. When he’s not touring with his Irish folk-inspired punk band Flogging Molly, he’s skateboarding and running “Hensley’s Flying Elephant Pub,” north San Diego’s premier watering hole and eatery. As a pioneer of modern street skating and quite possibly the world’s only accordion playing rockstar, Matt perfectly embodies the Macbeth brand.

The Hensley was introduced last Fall, and it is the perfect balance of Macbeth's music and skate inspiration. We collaborated on this design with Matt Hensley, pioneer of modern street skating and accordion playing rockstar from the band Flogging Molly. Durable suede upper, with reinforced stitching and pu molded insoles make this shoe great to skate in, but stylish enough to chill in.
