Frederic married Ann Elizabeth HOLTON at Preston Capes on 3 Feb 1874 when he leased a farm at Aston le Walls. Frederic moved to the parish briefly with his wife in the late 1880s. MEADES, Mary <1700-1772 Mary was already a resident of Preston Capes when she married Barnabas HORSEMAN at the parish church on 16 Dec 1718. Barnabas died in 1719 and Mary was the sole beneficiary of his will on 28 Apr 1720, receiving his house and land for the term of her life and all the residue of his estate. She married Thomas NICOLL at Fawsley on 20 Jun 1728. She left the parish with her family for Oxford, Oxon while her husband studied for the clergy and moved to Turweston, Bucks when he was made curate. She moved to of Clifton Reynes, Bucks upon her husband’s appointment as Rector. Mary was buried in the churchyard at Preston Capes on 1 Feb 1772. Children:

MOORE, Louisa Mary Jeffrey 1849-1931 The daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth MOORE (née FRY), Louisa was born in 1849 at Great Torrington, Devon and moved to Otterton, Devon about 1870 where she worked as a governess. She married Ellis BOLT at Great Torrington in 1873 and lived at Harpford and Awliscombe, both in Devon before coming to Preston Capes. In 1922, they left Preston Capes for Farthingstone, where Louisa died at the age of 82. She was buried in the churchyard at Preston Capes on 13 Feb 1931. Children:

MUMFORD, George Henry 1893-1971 The son of George Henry and Elizabeth MUMFORD (née BATHE), George was born at Banbury, Oxon on 5 Apr 1893 and worked as a butcher. He moved to the parish in 1919 and married Sophia Elizabeth WESTON in 1920. They left the parish for Culworth in 1924 where he set up a butcher’s shop. According to the late James COLES, he delivered initially with a horse and trap and later with a van which had "Mumford's sausages" painted on the side. They were "always top quality". George died in 1971 at the age of 73. Children:

MURCOTT, Thomas 1760/61-1846 Born in 1760/61, Thomas was already a resident of Preston Capes when he married Mary UNDERWOOD at Canons Ashby on 18 Apr 1790. He worked as a farm labourer. Thomas died at the age of 85 and was buried in the churchyard on 28 Apr 1846. Children

MURCOTT, Thomas 1778-1836 The son of Joseph and Ann MURCOTT (née BLISS), Thomas was baptised at Preston Capes on 4 Mar 1778 and married Mary BARRETT at the same church on 26 Jun 1800, the licence being issued on 6 Jun. Prior to his father's death, Thomas purchased Home Farm from his father. After his wife's death in 1825, he married Jane WARR at Everdon on 19 Oct 1826. As the owner of a house and land at Little Preston, he cast his vote in the County Election of May 1831 voting for William CARTWRIGHT and Sir Charles KNIGHTLEY. Thomas died on 27 Oct 1836 at the age of 58 and was buried in the churchyard on 1 Nov. Children:
