In the immediate aftermath of the PhilippinesEarthquake (the event just preceding TyphoonHaiyan), which caused widespread devastationOctober 2013, Mabey Bridge, together withDepartment of Public Works and Highways,devised an emergency bridging plan that includedrapid replacement of five bridges totalling 271m oftwo-span bridge plus the launch and erectionequipment.

Such was the speed of the response that workingbridges were in place just one week after delivery.
