Substance Abuse

• The criteria adopted here focus on four basic life problems

that are tied to the consumption of alcohol:

1) Problems associated with a preoccupation with

drinking

2) Emotional problems: Loneliness

3) Vocation, Social, and Family problems, and

4) Problems associated with Physical Health

(Levinthal, 2008, p. 270).
