1. Product Introduction

M508 GPRS/GSM Model GPS intelligent terminal (Mobile user terminals)Built-in industrial GPRS/GSM communication module and the newest SIRF-Star IIIHigh-sensitivity GPS receiver positioning module adopt GPRS and SMS Dual-modecommunication, terminal run stably and reliably, full functions, multi-interface, theterminal can be applied to concrete, rental, logistics, public transport, bus and otherfields, and also according to different industries, tailored to different users.

4.1 Power interface

4.3. Expanding Interface

Description


1 red SOS alarm input, low-level triggered alarm, directly connectwith the wire of SOS button

2 black Relay negative input, connect with the white wire in relay

3 yellow Relay positive input, connect with the yellow wire in relay

4 blueHV2( high-level signal detection port 2,) input positive voltageto detect, which should be 5DC~input power supply, connectingwith effective high-level signal wire.

5 purple GND of SOS alarm wire

6 brownSOS alarm indicator signal, drive LED, when alarm is triggered,the LED will be on.

7 orange Door open/close signal detection.

8 white

HV1( high-level signal detection port 1, it is described as A/Con/off signal detection), input positive voltage to detect, whichshould be 5DC~input power supply, connecting with effectivehigh-level signal wire.

9 red 5VDC power (max output current: 220mA)

10 green Positive pole for oil collecting signal, connecting with the addedsensor of fuel volume or original sensor of vehicle

11 greyOil collecting control signal wire (when connecting with oilcollector), please note: this wire are unable to connect withground.

5. Installation

5.1 Warm reminder for Installation

In order to realize the full functions of this product, please read this manual carefully before starting to use the product.1. This product can only be maintained and repaired by qualified professional service

personnel. If you detach this product for maintenance or repair, your warranty will beinvalidated.2. When connecting the other devices, read carefully their instruction manuals, so asto carry out correct installation; do not connect incompatible device.

3. Please use genuine original parts and qualified batteries and peripheral equipments,so as to avoid damage to this product.4. As this product is a high-tech product, please read carefully this manual beforestarting to use the product, so as to avoid inappropriate operation.5. Drivers should not operate this product while driving a vehicle, thereby, affectingsafe driving.6. This product can work properly only when GSM communication is in goodcondition.7. Please reduce electromagnetic wave interference to the product; and use it properly.8. GPS communication is liable to be affected by environmental shielding; may fail tocarry out positioning during certain circumstances. It will resume the positioningfunction as soon as it leaves the shielding environment. This is normal. Please do notworry when encountering such problem.9. Each signal sent out from the system will be confirmed for successful transmissionin the base station of the mobile operator. However, if system stoppage occurs or ifthe mobile telephone is preset to a switch off state by the customer, it cannot ensuresuccessful transmission.10. For safety reason, do not tell the other people your device SIM number, withouttaking precautions. Otherwise, your privacy may be compromised along with other

safety problem.

7.module initialization

1. connect with handle or scheduling screen, then do as follows

i. press menu, enter into “settings”, choose “default setting”, the password:20050215, hint “success” to get the next step.

ii. Set ip address and port, the format as follows: 0,xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx,

8886 ( input”,” press * , input”.” Press #), which means Y+IP+PORT, If

IP don’t have three digits, please add “0”in front of it to up 3 digits, Y means:0- private net, 1- public net, in practice, please ignore it. hint “success” to getthe next step.such as our platform server’s IP and PORT as follows:

0,058.060.185.172, 8886

iii. Set Terminal ID, please make sure the own number should be 11 digits .such as :12345678901, hint “success” to get the next step.

iv. Set APN. You can input the APN manually. If ok . all parameters are set.

If all done , generally in 60 seconds, the screen shows “ ◆ ”means detected GPSsignal “GP” stand for that the terminal detected GPRS signal, in the meantime,




monitoring centre can correctly track vehicle , means terminal work normal.

Notes:

Input parameters must be correct, it is recommended that use the handle of the "hoststatus query" function to check the parameters after the set up.

5.2.2 Via SMS command.1.Reboot

b.terminal ID length must be 11 digitals, and set different terminal ID at the latter 9 digitals

c.please add country code in the front of service SMS number, such as:Chinese code is 86. SMS

number is 13612345678, You can set the SMS number like this, *+8613612345678*

d.default password is 123456

5.3 how to track by software1. Add device into tracking system.

1.1 open adding vehicle system(recommend that open this link via IE)

http://211.154.139.208:8000/vms/ please get login ID from sales who follows

1.2. create a fleet for vehicle, Steps as follows:

Click “new fleet” , input Fleet name, then save.




1.3 Create new vehicle, steps as follows

a. Click new vehicle

b. Fill the blanks with *, the most important item is system Number, it should be unique ID,

set ID begin with 13 and ID should be 11 digits, for example: 13512345678

1.4 open tracking software: http://gps.gatorcn.com/ ( same login ID with VMS)

2. Insert SIM card , connect with antenna and power supply

2.1 open the device as picture shows:

2.2 insert SIM card into tracker, details please see picture:

2.3 connect GPS and GSM antenna with tracker, please operate carefully, and put antennas in

the open air.

2.4 Connect with power supply.

3.Parameter settings to connect with server via SMS.

Edit following SMS command in cell phone and send it to the SIMCARD insidetracker, please edit exact format as following SMS.

3.1 APN with username and passwordSS,*APN*,*USERNAME*,*PASSWORD*,*IP*,*port*,*terminal ID*,*+Service

SMS number* ,*Password *

3.2 APN without username and password:

S, *APN *,*IP*,*port*,*terminal ID*,*+Service SMS number* ,*Password*

Get reply after you send this SMS command within 2 minutes.

Notes:a. APN: Access Point Name of GPRS, you can get APN of SIM card from local operator

b.terminal ID is same as system number created under VMS( 11 digits and begin with 13).

c.please add country code in the front of service SMS number, such as:Chinese code is 86. SMS

number is 13612345678, You can set the SMS number like this, *+8613612345678*

d. service SMS number: it is for receiving SMS alarm to monitor vehicle, for example, if press

SOS button, service SMS number will get SOS alarm.




d.default password is 123456

for example, our server’s IP: 211.154.139.208 and port:8888 , set parameters as follows to

host device in our server:

4. track device in real time
