Nancy MarchettaWith over two decades experience working in all aspects of the design realm, Nancy Marchetta has witnessed the struggles of clients juggling the efforts of both the design and implementation of their projects. She knew that there had to be a better business model. Having formed m2 in 2009, Nancy developed a simplified working process handling all aspects of the project from design to execution, while working in collaboration with her clients in order to provide a hassle free, affordable product without sacrificing the calibre of work.

INTERIOR DESIGN

Aspen Insurance ChicagoThe details make the difference in this design for the offices of Aspen Insurance located in Chicago, Illinois. It is a tailored looks like that of a man’s suit: crisp, neat and uncluttered. The office was done in a simple color palette of beige, gray and crème with an accent of the corporate orange color. The vertical stripe integrates texture and color to achieve a sophisticated, streamlined and classic look.

This design acts as a comprehensive piece of art for the law office of Drew Eichner at Berger Schatz. It is an integrated fusion of art noir pieces and abstract interpretations. The finishes include textiles and accents of red to capture the essence and texture of the era. May it enhance the space with a cultured and conservative flair.

2001 Collins AveFor this newly built 3500 sq. ft. condominium, m2 was asked to create a multifunctional space that was a comfortable home by day and club by night. Through the clever implementation of sliding doors, lighting and dynamic furniture, the redesigned space was able to transform from functional home to an entertainer’s dream.

1033 Mayview Dr.In order to refurbish this split-level ranch into a suburban “penthouse”, m2 brought the organic elements indoors. To open up the space, additions were added and walls removed, while the use of lush hardwoods and high end finishes gave the home a refined and natural touch.

The Inner SpaWhen asked to design the interior for hospital-based The Inner Spa, m2 selected light, airy colors and comfort driven furniture to create a warm and ethereal environment, achieving an unpretentious but elegant interior that is miles away from clinical.

Northside Loft ChicagoFor this large undertaking, m2 was tasked with designing a newly constructed condominium complex, complete with standard and penthouse models. The client asked for a refined and urban look that still appeared “attainable”. Using rich dark woods and earthy textures combined with sleek modern designs, m2 was able to create a hip and homey atmosphere.

Our alternative to a conventional roman blind offers a pleasing combination of felted textiles and zipper elements to achieve a casual, relaxed setting. Zipped up can fit an existing trim, or you can manipulate the size to define your own point of view.

hung up Intensify your space with a drama-driven look. Divide, hide or upgrade any decor with our floor-to-ceiling billowing curtains. Opt for a fusion of sheer panels and grommets that will convert a conventional interior into a personal sanctuary.

Preliminary Work

STEP ONE

Initial ConsultationThe process begins with an initial consultation. This gives the client the opportunity to meet us and see what the company has to offer. During the meeting, we review the client’s needs and desires concerning the space planning and design of their project. At m2 we believe that the designer-client relationship is one that requires trust and confidence, and we take pride in maintaining these core values in a comfortable atmosphere.

Once we come to an agreement regarding fees and scheduling, a contract is signed for our professional services. The space is surveyed, photographed and measured, and we will schedule to meet with architects and/or builders if applicable. We also inventory and photograph existing furnishings to be cataloged accordingly for the project. Preliminary floor plans are prepared, and issues regarding specialty built-ins, cabinets and architectural details for interior spaces are reviewed. Initial furniture and finishes are selected.

STEP THREE

Initial PresentationFor the initial presentation, m2 gathers information and potential options for furnishings, fixtures, finishes, color choice and fabrics. Three unique concept boards are created, complete with photographs, samples, and corresponding floor plans, so that the client will have a better understanding of the direction of their project. This presentation leads to additional meetings where the designer and client narrow down the options until all of the components have been selected.

STEP FOUR

Final Presentation / Implementation

Upon approval from the client, deposits are collected, contractors are scheduled and products are ordered. Our firm will oversee the project to completion to ensure our client’s satisfaction.
