A Day in the Life of ...Michelle Michelle Brown studies Sport and wants to be a Sports teacher. Her favourite sport is running so she loves running marathons. She says, ‘It’s not easy to run a marathon. There are lots of things to think about, such as your food and routine.’A typical day Michelle usually wakes up at half past fi ve and runs 20 kilometres before breakfast. It takes her about an hour and fi fteen minutes. On Saturday mornings she runs 30 kilometres or more to practise for the next marathon. Her best marathon time is three hours and ten minutes. After her morning run, she always eats lots of brown toast and butter for breakfast. Sometimes she puts honey on it because it’s sweet and gives her energy. Her classes start at 9 a.m. She studies Sport in the mornings and plays volleyball, football or tennis in the afternoons. ‘My course is amazing! I do the things I love doing every day.’ At lunchtime, she usually has a large salad with chicken or fi sh. In the evenings, she has dinner with her friends. They are all athletes and are careful about what they eat. They usually have fi sh or chicken again, with green vegetables. Michelle loves chips and pizzas, but she hardly ever eats them – only after a race. On weekdays, she is usually in bed at 10 p.m.

Sport in my country

I live in Argentina and, of course 1, football is a very popular sport here!

At school, we do sports for two hours a week Girls usually play volleyball and

boys play football. Now a lot of girls like playing football too. In some

schools, you can also play basketball and baseball. Its also quite common

for young people to play hockey tennis and rugby in local clubs in their free

time. My best friends brother plays rugby for Argentina in the Pumas team.

My favourite sport is hockey I often play on Saturday morning. I also go to

my sisters judo class every week. She’s a judo teacher. We like watching

football on TV. And we love Messi, the footballer because he’s amazing and
