The objective is to assist SARS with identification for import and export purposes.

LIBRARY PROJECT

At the beginning of March 2011 CDA Africa embarked upon a project to capture the contents of all ICA/CDA and ‘of interest’ publications in electronic format.

The objective is to allow members access to the wealth of information that is available on copper.

The publications will be listed on the website. Electronic versions will be stored on the CDA

Africa server and will be available on request.

PRIMARY EDUCATION

A project to develop the CDA Africa website specifically targeted at primary level students has been awarded.

The objective is to make the website more user- friendly and informative to young people with a view to educating them on the varied uses and benefits of Copper and its Alloys.

ANTIMICROBIAL COPPER Three, two and a half minute, short stories have been

commissioned. (LittleBigStories) The first will be aimed at health professionals and will cover

the death of microbes on copper surfaces. Professor Shaheen Mehtar will feature with her work carried

conference which will be held in Namibia this year. Guest speakers will include Prof Mehtar and Prof Bill Keevil from Southampton University.
