The Golden Arches!

Ever since 1955, McDonalds has proudly served the world with over 33,000 stores in 118 countries. They`ve served the world with some of it`s favorite foods and drinks. Along the way, McDonalds has created more and more history from the Big Mac to fries and chicken nuggets. Each meal has their very own story behind it. And they`re just getting started…

The Ray Kroc StoryIn 1954, at the age of 52, Ray Kroc invested his life

savings to become the exclusive distributor of a milk shake maker called the Multimixer. He discovered the McDonald's® hamburger stand in California, owned by Dick & Mac McDonald, was running eight Multimixers at a time, so he packed up and headed west to investigate.

Ray Kroc had never seen so many pRay Kroc opened the Des Plaines, Illinois restaurant in 1955, and with the first Golden Arches, launched a legendary brand. He saw the value of a restaurant system that could be famous for offering consistently prepared, quality food that tasted the same in every location, every time. In 1958, McDonald’s sold its 100 millionth burger.eople served so quickly, and was impressed with the way the limited menu allowed a focus on quality at every step. Inspired, he pitched the idea of opening several restaurants to the McDonald brothers, convinced he could sell eight of his Multimixers to each and every one. When they asked who would open them, Kroc said, "What about me?"Consistency, quality and success.

By 1965, with 700 restaurants, McDonald’s went public with the company’s first offering on the stock exchange.

Ray Kroc didn’t do it alone. He believed, “In business for yourself, but not by yourself.” To achieve his vision, he chose a unique path – to persuade franchisees and suppliers to join him in working for themselves, together with McDonald's.

As a result, in 1967, the first McDonald’s restaurant outside the U.S. opened its doors in Richmond, British Columbia.

Today, 2.5 million guests visit our restaurants across Canada

EVERY DAY. With its Canadian franchisees, McDonald’s Restaurants of Canada Limited owns and operates more than 1,400 restaurants and employs more than 80,000 Canadians coast-to-coast. Approximately 80% of McDonald’s Canadian restaurants are locally owned and operated by independent entrepreneurs in communities from coast to coast!!!!!!!

SO…WHY DO WE LOVE MCDONALDS SO MUCH?

McDonalds has a winning "taste" formula. They also have consistency so that no matter which one you go to they will all taste the same. You can start drooling as soon as you enter the driveway and you know exactly how it will taste!

They also have a better variety than ever. An assortment of sodas, ice cream, shakes. Then french fries, different burgers and you can shape your meal with any items you want.

Mcdonalds` food contains addiction that leads you to wanting more and more. They also have this drug in their fries and burgers that make you very thirsty and so as a result you end up buying some sort of drink. And after that drink you will be hungry again and there goes the cycle.

We'd like to think that our food is addictive because it's so delicious. Not to mention we offer quality and value that over 2.5 million Canadians enjoy every day. What can we say? McDonald's Canada customers have great taste!

Is McDonalds aimed for children?

McDonalds is aiming for Children!

Haven`t you realized! All of the McDonalds commercials include children and the happy meals always look very mouth watering. They have many toys that lure the children there. McDonalds wants children to whimper and beg for the food. McDonalds thinks that the parents cannot say no so that they will earn more money for the parents will purchase for the food. Many of the restaurants have play places that welcome children to come play. Some children might eat first then find the play place and then stay longer for play time and then get hungry and eat more. However some parents have realised that McDonalds is unhealthy and are trying to keep their children away from it.

Next is a story about a dad that went to jail

because he restricted his son from McDonalds!!!!

Yahoo News…The trouble began last week, the Post explained Thursday, when Schorr was scheduled to take his son to their usual neighborhood restaurant for their weekly Tuesday-night visit. But that night the child dug in his heels about wanting to go to McDonald's instead. Schorr, who felt the boy had been eating too much junk food lately, refused, saying he could eat anywhere else but the fast-food joint — or have no dinner at all.

"The child, stubborn as a mule, chose the 'no dinner' option," Schorr says in the suit, according to the Post. "It was just a standoff. I’m kicking myself mightily. I wish I had taken him to McDonald's, but you get nervous about rewarding bad behavior. I was concerned. I think it was a 1950s equivalent of sending your child to bed without dinner. That's maybe the worst thing you can say about it."

Continued…

When the boy went home hungry to mom Bari Yunis Schorr, a vice president at Rue La La, he reported the incident and went to McDonald’s with her. Then she contacted the psychiatrist, Marilyn Schiller, setting the forensic investigation in motion. Schiller, according to the Associated Press, told a judge the incident "raises concerns about the viability" of the father's weekend visits with his son and suggested they be limited or eliminated entirely.

Now David Schorr wants Schiller to return the required $2,750 he paid for her input on the case. Meanwhile, the custody trial will resume in December.

Fast food is the 'unhealthy choice', McDonald's tells its

own staffFast food is considered unhealthy because it has high calorie, fat and salt content. Food such as chicken nuggets and fries from major fast food chains also contain very high levels of the unhealthy artery clogging trans fats as reported in the New Scientist. This can raise chances of heart disease in people who eat fast food regularly. McDonald`s is fast food because everything is fried which makes it very unhealthy and bad for your digestive system. In conclusion McDonalds doesn`t do any good for your body so WHY EAT IT!!!!!

IN CONCLUSION…• You’ll going to take a massive content of fat, calories

and salt by eating food like burgers and fries. Burgers in McDonalds contain saturated fat which is very harmful to eat often for it is red meat. French fries are cooked by frying into litres of oil; it absorbs too much oil while deep frying, and again another fat intake. McDonalds’ food has lots of preservatives to maintain its texture and size. Over sizing seems to be very practical for those who are having a tight budget, for they are discounting the price of the food if you’ll going to double the size; which is another massive fat intake.

Continued…

Even vegetable salads consider unhealthy because of its fatty dressing added on top. Eating in McDonalds isn’t really bad, but if you do it often, it may cause you some diseases such as diabetes and heart disease and it can even lead you to obesity. The only great thing in fast food is you can save time. It is more pleasurable for busy individuals like students and workers. The more time you save for work and school by eating in a fast food restaurant like McDonalds, the greater reduction to your average life span.
