State-of-the-art imaging technology provides output from computer files directly to the printing plate utilizing chemistry free plates, compared to older technology where computer files were output onto photographic film and then burned to a subtractive plate. Previously, this two step method required additional production, along with usage of hazardous chemistry or solutions needed for processing.
