Tests on R49998 PMTs

We plan to have a custom built magnet at Milano Bicocca (solenoid or Helmholtz coils with B up to 100-200 gauss) for in house tests of R4998 PMTsVME QADC+TDC system (with AGILE DAQ) readyFast home-built laser system (AVTECH fast pulser + NICHIA Laser diode at 400 nm) ordered (rate up to 1 MHz)

Tests on Fine-mesh PMTs

Additional test at LASA (mainly for rate effects with a laser light cycle simulating ISIS) in preparation at LASA with Pavia MEG group for March/April 2005Tests with 1”,1.5”,2” fine-mesh PMTsSame equipment as in-house tests + Hamamatsu Laser PLP10 on loan (rate up to 10 MHz)

What I need

To finalize TOF station design I need final infos on

Space available at TOF station positions laterally to MICE cooling section (to recess TOFs for calibration with cosmics) (Wing ?)

Final B field maps at TOF0… positions (Kevin, Tom ?)

Final evaluation of rates at TOF0 … positions (Tom ?)
