1920S “LETS MISBEHAVE”

In the 1920s music video Lets Misbehave shows a Charleston ball happening. The music video is showing the different elements that can take place at a ball like the dancing and the music. As videos and imagery were not as developed as modern day videos so pictures and the quality is not great and is all shot in black and white. The 1920s-

1930S “DUKE ELLINGTON”Duke Ellington released his famous track it don’t mean a thing which was filmed in black and white which shows an orchestra which included the piano, trumpets, drum kit and saxophones playing whilst Duke Ellington is singing.

1940S “WHITE CHRISTMAS”Sung by Bing Crosby and Martha Mears was released in 1942 and was filmed in black and white but had an effect that made the video. The video quality is very clear for the year it was made it as technology was not the best in the 1940s. The video relates to the song sitting round a fire on Christmas eve with all the decorations etc.

1964 “TOP OF THE POPS”

The first ever TOTPs was filmed in black and white and later shown in colour. Top of the pops is a British music chart show that is aired on bbc 1 and showed the weeks popular music artists with a rundown of that week's singles chart.

1981 “MTV”MTV was first shown on the 1st August 1981. It was shown it colour however the quality is not good. The first show begins with a rocket taking off and an astronaut on the moon with the MTV sign, this was how the name of the channel was introduced to the public.

1990 “CANT TOUCH THIS”

Song performed by mc hammer is a historic dance move and the hammer pants are still popular 15 years later. The song is filmed in colour making sure the colours people wearing are bright to stand out as it an energetic music video.

2000 “SHAGGY”It Wasn't Me" has been regarded as Shaggy's breakthrough in the pop market, and is his highest-charting song to date, topping the charts in Australia, Austria, France, Ireland, the United States, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. It was the best-selling single of 2001 in the United Kingdom, selling over 1.15 million copies that year and over 1.37 million as of 2015.
