  Resolution 2-2015 In Support of Governor Sandoval’s Business License Fee Proposal  Whereas, the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance (LVGEA) board, at its February meeting unanimously supported the concept of Governor Sandoval’s education policies, outlined in his executive budget; and Whereas, these programs will require a great deal of new revenue funding; and Whereas, the LVGEA conducted studies on a number of funding proposals for new revenue streams, including: - Expanding the State Sales Tax to Services -  Augmenting the Modified Business Tax, and - Implementing the Governor’s Graduated Business License Fee program; and Whereas, these studies revealed that the Graduated Business License Fee program has the potential to have the the smallest impact on the LVGEA’s economic development efforts. Now therefore, be it resolved by the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance:  1. That the Board of Directors supports the Governor’s education policy priorities and endorses in concept Governor Sandoval’s Graduated Business License Fee proposal  2. That the Board of Directors expresses the desire to work with the Governor and the State Legislature to perfect the Graduated Business License Fee proposal 3. That this resolution does not preclude the endorsement of any compromise o n taxes on business

    Whereas, the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance (LVGEA) board, at its February meeting unanimously supported the concept of Governor Sandovals education policies, outlined in his executive budget; and
