QUALIFYING SMALL ENTERPRISE- VERIFICATION VIA SWORN AFFIDAVIT

We refer to the General Notice (36928) issued by the Department of Trade and Industry, as gazetted

on 11 October 2013, paragraph 5.

A measured entity with an annual Total Revenue of between RlO million and R50 million qualifies as

a Qualifying Small Enterprise (QSE).

A Qualifying Small Enterprise must comply with all the elements of Broad-Based Black Economic

Empowerment (B-BBEE) for the purpose of measurement, however, enhanced recognition is

awarded to Qualifying Small Enterprises with 51%+ Black Ownership.

A Qualifying Small Enterprise with 51%+ Black Ownership is only required to obtain a sworn affidavit

on an annual basis confirming annual revenue of R50 million or less and Level of Black Ownership.

Attached to this letter please find the sworn affidavit of the enterprise to substantiate its Broad­

Based Black Economic Empowerment Contributor Level as a Qualifying Small Enterprise.
