Summary
Due to the current economical situation more and
more Portuguese companies are forced to
develop or increase their export activities to
sustain business.
The objective of LUSOF is to work closely
with Portuguese furniture manufactures,
that often do not have the international
knowhow, and want to develop new
markets to increase export volumes.
The furniture industry in Portugal has a long
history and has over 4000 specialized
companies who are heavily dependant on the
Portuguese and Spanish markets.
LUSOF was created to help clients source the right
products, enhance their capabilities to develop specific
products and optimize logistical flows (f.e. one go goods
from different sources).
Martijn Wiecherink Martijn, is an expert in Supply Chain and Operations management. Gained
his experience in a wide range of industries and various international
markets in Europe, North America and Asia Pacific. Martijn worked for the
biggest Portuguese furniture export company and was responsible for the
global supply chain. Through out his career Martijn has been creating new
processes, networks, departments and new businesses.
José Melo José, is an expert in Purchasing, Sales and International Business
Development. Since 1987, he has been among leaders of multinational
companies worldwide, leading and driving business in North America,
Europe, Middle East and Asia-Pacific. Since 2006 he was part of the
Executive Board of Directors who were responsible for developing a new
global brand and managing the biggest furniture & design company in
Portugal, exporting and operating worldwide.
