Marietta’s Community Theater

About the Production TeamAbout the Production Team Scott Mackison (Technical Director) Scott has been involved with some aspect of theater since he was 10. In the 35 plus years Scott has done every aspect from acting onstage, backstage, lights, and set construction. He is cur-rently the Vice Chairman of the Susquehanna Stage Co. Board of Directors and the Technical Director for this production. Scott lives in Maytown with his wife and best friend, Colleen and their two children, Morgan (20) and Jered (10). Jordyn McCrady (Choreographer) Jordyn is making her debut as choreographer for Lucky Stiff and has had an amazing time working with such a talented cast. Jor-dyn began dancing at the age of 7, studying numerous types of dance from many great choreographers in the Lancaster area. She was last seen on the SSC stage playing Tiger Lily in Peter Pan and has also performed in The Music Man, Guys and Dolls, 1776, and Arsenic and Old Lace. Jordyn is also on the Board of Direc-tors of SSC as treasurer and serves as the Marketing Coordinator for the theater. Jordyn will be playing the Baker's Wife in our up-coming 2015 Grand Summer Theatre production of Into the Woods. Jason Spickler (Music Director) Jason is happy to return to a behind the scenes role, having re-cently appeared in ensemble and supporting roles last season and previously in the roles of Max in The Sound of Music and Charlie Brown in You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown. He is a founding member of the Susquehanna Stage Co. and served as the Administrative Director of the organization for six years. In addition, he has directed the SSC productions of Willy Wonka, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, Urinetown (co-directed with Kevin Krum), and Annie, and has served as the musical director and/or orchestra conductor for several of SSC’s musical produc-tions. Thank you to our ever-growing SSC “family” and commu-nity for their continued support of live local theater in Marietta!

About the Production TeamAbout the Production Team Stephen Bair (Lighting Designer) Steve has been working with the Susquehanna Stage Co. since 2008 as a founding member of the organization. He performs various behind-the-scenes roles from set construction to com-puter networking and maintenance. Although his primary role for this production is the lighting design and control, Stephen can often be found doing at least four things at once to aid in other aspects of the show to keep the “machine” running. Sharon Boyer (Rehearsal Pianist) Sharon Boyer began her career with musical theater in high school and in college as a singer and actor. During this time she also started accompanying musicals on piano, as well as some shows on oboe and English horn, for school and community or-ganizations. In addition, she served as the vocal director for sev-eral of those productions. Most recently she has been working at Susquehanna Stage Co. Her favorite roles there include Mrs. Paroo in The Music Man, the Mother Abbess in The Sound of Mu-sic, and Abigail Adams in 1776. Jaclyn Johnson (Costume Designer) Jacquee is a founding member of Susquehanna Stage Co. and a past chairman of the Board of Directors. Jacquee’s costume designs have been seen on every mainstage production at SSC. Her designs have also been seen at EPAC, Donegal High School, Penn State Harrisburg and Ephrata High School. By day, Jac-quee works as an emotional support para-educator at Elizabeth-town High School. Her spare time is spent in her garden, by the pool, or decorating her house for the seasons. Much love to her boys—Jim, Dylan and Asher! Asher Johnson (Director) Asher is thrilled to be making his directorial debut at SSC. Asher studied theatre for two years at Penn State University and has performed on our stage in numerous productions including Guys and Dolls, 1776 and Peter Pan. He would like to thank the cast and crew for their hard work and his parents for their support and inspiration throughout the process.

Season SupportersSeason Supporters About the PlayersAbout the Players Claire in Proof (Hershey Area Playhouse), and Paulette in Le-gally Blonde (Ephrata Performing Arts Center). While perform-ance on stage is Niki’s passion, she can also be seen spend-ing time around Marietta, walking her “boys,” Joker and Diz-zle, and enjoying the finer things in life with the love of her life, her husband Brian. Niki would like to thank Asher, Jordyn, Sharon, Jason, Scott, Steve, Jacquee and Jim for their dedi-cation in bringing Lucky Stiff to life, and to her fellow perform-ers for always making her laugh out loud! Aiden Thomas (Annabel Glick) Aiden is a senior at Donegal High School. She lives two houses away, and has been involved with the Susquehanna Stage Co. since its beginning. Although she frequented the stage in her younger years, by the end of middle school she was ready for a change of pace. Aiden then switched gears and focused more on the backstage part of productions by help-ing with tech, backstage, choreography, and even stage managing. She is now changing it up again by performing in Lucky Stiff. She would like to thank Jim, Jacquee, Linda, and the rest of her Susquehanna Stage Co. family for teaching her everything she knows and always being there for her. She would also like to thank her actual family for always support-ing her. Although she is leaving for school in the fall, her heart will forever remain at the Susquehanna Stage Co. Au revoir! Kate Zimmerman (Ensemble) Kate is happy to be back on stage at SSC where she was last seen in Baby as Lizzie Fields. Kate lives in Akron with her hus-band and is a florist at Roxanne's Flower Shop. Her previous shows include Guys and Dolls (SSC), Annie (SSC), Is There Life After High School? (SSC) and Bye Bye Birdie as Gloria Rasputin (Popovsky Performing Arts). Kate would like to thank her hus-band Aaron for supporting and encouraging her. She would also like to thank the cast, crew, and directing team for mak-ing this a fun and memorable experience.

About the PlayersAbout the Players often seen offstage with her worse half, Anthony, whom she loves against all odds. Christy Naples (Ensemble) Christy Naples is lucky to be in another show with SSC. Previ-ously appearing in Almost, Maine, A 1940s Radio Christmas Carol, and Baby, SSC has become home. Christy also ap-peared in Reefer Madness at LTM in 2014. When not at the theater, Christy teaches English and advises the Yearbook Staff at Elizabethtown Area High School. Next year, she will be taking on the very exciting challenge of directing the EAHS fall play and serving as the technical director and choreogra-pher for the spring musical. Much love to the cast and crew for a great experience and many shenanigans. All my love to Sam for letting me be a star in my own mind. Now let's go get some ice cream! Nick Roden (Ensemble) Nick was introduced to the stage in second grade and has loved it ever since. He is proud to be a part of his eighth pro-duction on the SSC stage. His favorite roles here were Mr. Spinoza in Arsenic and Old Lace and one of the rocking pi-rates in last summer’s production of Peter Pan. Nick is also known for his work backstage, dressing and costuming for many other shows. He would like to thank his mom for sup-porting and maintaining his hectic schedule, and his theater family for their constant encouragement, love and support over the last six years. Niki Boyer Swatski (Rita La Porta) The role of Rita La Porta marks Niki’s third time portraying a flighty, New Jersey spit-fire here at SSC, following her perform-ances in Rumors (Claire Gantz) and this winter’s A 1940s Radio Christmas Carol (Margie O’Brien). Past roles at SSC include Ma Strong in Urinetown, Elsa in The Sound of Music, and sev-eral supporting and ensemble roles. Other favorite roles have been Truvy Jones in Steel Magnolias (York Little Theater),

About the PlayersAbout the Players upcoming SSC summer production of Into The Woods. He is thrilled to have worked with this amazing cast and hopes that all attending enjoy the performance. Anthony J. Geraci (Luigi Gaudi) Meat cutter, habitual pretender, and an occasional face on this stage, Anthony has been seen in Guys and Dolls (Harry the Horse), It's a Wonderful Life (Clarence and others ), Urine-town (Old Man Strong and chorus), Is There Life After High School? (Chorus), and Almost, Maine (Second Man) to name them all. He has two cats and they are buttheads. His eternal thanks and love go to his better half, Mary, and of course his friends and family. May this be a show to remember! Joshua Harner (Ensemble) This is Josh’s fifth SSC production. Past shows include The Sound of Music, The Fantasticks, Rumors, and 1776. Josh has also performed at Ephrata Performing Arts Center, at York Lit-tle Theater, and with the Lancaster Opera Company in its pro-duction of Amahl and the Night Visitors. He is a 2009 graduate of Donegal High School where he participated in several great DPA productions. Josh has been a costume character performer at Hersheypark for the past eight years. In addition to theater, he enjoys singing and has been in several choral festivals, performance groups and church choirs. He also plays the trumpet and baritone, and has played in several musical ensembles and is especially proud of his time playing with the Reading Buccaneers Drum and Bugle Corp. Josh would like to thank his beautiful girlfriend Katie and his friends and family for all their loving support. Love you guys!!! Mary McCleary (Dominique D’Monaco) Mary is pretty excited to be making her debut at SSC and what more fitting place to do it, but on the stage - onstage? She has previously flaunted her stuff at York Little Theater in The Rocky Horror Show as Janet, The Wedding Singer as Holly (HJCC) and in various shows at Oyster Mill Playhouse, where she will soon open in The Cat's Meow as Marion Davies. She is

About the PlayersAbout the Players Dale Boyer (Dead Body of Anthony Hendon) Dale’s first taste of theater came with a walk on, non-speaking part in Donegal High School’s 1974 production of Brigadoon. It began a lifelong love of theater together with his wife and co-star, Sharon. Dale has been involved in pro-ductions with Lebanon Community Theater in the Barn where he played a priest for the wedding in The Sound of Music and worked crew for West Side Story. He has been involved in set construction/production for numerous productions at DHS over the years, including stage manager and cast member for Fiddler on the Roof. More recently Dale has become in-volved with productions at SSC. “It’s the only way I get to see my wife!” Most of his work is set construction and work on the dark side. Flying kids for Peter Pan was great! Dale was fortu-nate to have been on stage for SSC’s 1776 as Col. Thomas McKean. Once again Dale has been given the opportunity to stretch his thespian wings with his most challenging role to date. Joseph Chubb (Vinny Di Ruzzio) This is Joseph's third show with the Susquehanna Stage Co. having been seen in Urinetown (Mr. McQueen) and in Annie (Rooster). Joseph is the assistant artistic director and founding member of The Bare Bones Theatre Ensemble located in and around Harrisburg. He is a regional theater actor and can be seen performing in many community theatre shows through-out central Pennsylvania. His favorite roles include: Dr. Frankn-furter: The Rocky Horror Show, Hanschen: Spring Awakening, Lun Tha: The King and I, Billy Crocker: Anythig Goes and a part of the 2014 Broadway award-winning ensemble of Les Miserables at the Fulton Theater. He would like to thank every-one involved in this show, his family and supportive friends. Dare, Discover, Dream. John Fleming (Harry Witherspoon) John has been a part of Susquehanna Stage Company since its 2009 founding production of The Music Man. This will be his fifth show as an actor. John has been cast as Jack in the

On January 3, 2015 our community lost a treasure. Harry Hartman loved the town of Marietta. After moving to Marietta in 1964, his first

project was the restoration of the White Swan Tavern where he main-tained his residence and business for ten years. He became a founding and lifetime member of the Marietta Res-toration Associates. He helped estab-lish the successful Marietta Candle-light Tour and gave his time and ex-pertise as a consultant for the restora-tion of the Marietta Borough Hall, the Union Meeting House, the Olde Town Hall, the Marietta Bank Building (Home of the MRA), and numerous private homes in Marietta.

Having developed a keen interest in antiques as a young boy, he be-came a preeminent antiques dealer, decorator, and restoration con-sultant throughout Eastern Pennsylvania and beyond. His expertise was sought after for projects from Maine to Florida. In addition to an-tiques and restoration of period homes, he was also interested in art and landscape design. He was a member of the Colonial Williams-burg Foundation, the Winterthur Museum, Longwood Gardens, and numerous other antiques, folk art, and horticultural organizations.

Harry was also a great supporter of the Susquehanna Stage Co. since its founding in 2009. He attended many of the plays and musicals here over the past six years and was very generous in his financial contributions. We are happy to have our 2015 season lovingly spon-sored in his memory and are excited to honor him as we continue to provide a seventh season of quality community theater experiences in the town that he loved.
