ings) a service life of several years

without relubrication is achievable.

STABURAGS NBU 12 / 300 KP has

been used for initial lubrication for

example by Spindelfabrik SUESSEN

for many years.

LAMORA VARIOGEAROIL EL 2

Synthetic, long life oil and traction

fluid

QUIETSCH-EX SPRAY

for flat bed frames

and

Klüberpaste 46 MR 401

or

ALTEMP Q NB 50

for ball joint bushes

These gear oils ensure optimum

gear operation, thus allowing precise

thread feed and fabric take-up.

LAMORA VARIOGEAROIL EL 2

recommended by Karl Mayer,

Obertshausen

The performance of these lubricants

lasts at least from one warp beam

change to the next, so trouble-free

production is guaranteed due to the

long-lasting effect and good adhesion

to the friction points.

QUIETSCH-EX is also an excellent

corrosion preventive and rust removal

agent.

Klüberpaste 46 MR 401 and

ALTEMP Q NB 50

also are universal lubricating and

assembly pastes preventing fretting

corrosion.

Spur and bevel gears

Rolling bearings in electric motors

High temperatures lead to rapid oil ageing and short

oil change intervals.

Extremely high specific flank pressure under mixed

friction conditions (e.g. with high torques at low

speeds)

Worm gears Excessive oil sump temperature

Rapid oil ageing and short oil change intervals

Excessive wear of wheel resulting in low efficiency

Premature bearing failure resulting in machine

downtime

(see Notes)

Good friction behaviour resulted in

gear temperature reduction by 10 °C

or more. Oil change intervals are at

least three times as long as those of

mineral oils.

Klübersynth GEM ... 4N oils are available in

all common ISO viscosity grades. They are

miscible with mineral oil and show mostly

neutral behaviour towards paints and seals.

Klübersynth GH 6 oils are not miscible with

mineral oils or oils on a PAO basis. We rec-

ommend testing compatibility with sealing

materials, paints and inspection glass.

The optimum choice for gear lubrication in

weaving machines if long oil life is desired.

Approvals by several manufacturers, e.g.

by Promatech Type VAMATEX for

Klübersynth 100 KV, Klübersynth 50 KV

and by Promatech Type SOMET for

Klübersynth G 4-130 (for relubrication)

or

STRUCTOVIS BHD MF

Klübersynth GH 6 oils have an excel-

lent friction behaviour. They reduce

gear temperatures considerably and

increase gear efficiency by more than

25 %. Owing to their special additives

they reduce wear substantially, espe-

cially on materials that are typically

used for worm gears. Oil change inter-

vals are at least five times longer than

those of mineral oils.

STRUCTOVIS BHD MF is an intrinsi-

cally viscous long-term and high-tem-

perature lubricant. It contains solid

lubricant particles and is especially

suitable for worm gear drives of width

adjustment spindles.

Klübersynth GH 6 oils are available

in all common ISO viscosity grades.

They are not miscible with mineral oils

or oils on a PAO basis. We recom-

mend testing compatibility with seal-

ing materials, paints and inspection

glass.

for long-term and lifetime lubrica-

tion mostly of rolling bearings that

do not allow relubrication running

at > 100 °C and high speeds

For rolling bearings that can be relubricated:

PETAMO GHY 132 N orPETAMO GY 193

Klüberquiet greases are characterized

by a wider service temperature range

and an extremely high resistance to

temperature and speed.

At high temperatures, runtimes

> 4000 hours are possible without

relubrication

Klüberquiet greases meet most

requirements to be satisfied by

today’s rolling bearing lubricants.

Our tried-and-tested greases

STABURAGS N 12 MF and

STABURAGS NBU 8 EP continue to

be good choices for many applica-

tions.

Rotary screw compres-sor

High operating temperatures leading to rapid oil

ageing through oxidation, and short oil change

Cleaning of rotary screw and rotary vane com-pressors

Deposits due to pronounced oxidation especially of

mineral-oil-based products

This will inevitably lead to contamination of the

new oil fill unless the compressor is cleaned during

changeover.

Klüber Summit SH oils

High-performance compressor oils

on a PAO basis

Clean compressor thanks to good

oxidation stability

Oil change intervals at least three

times longer than those of mineral oils

When changing over from mineral oils,

energy cost cuttings by 3 to 5% are

possible.

Klüber Summit SH oils are available in all

common viscosity grades. Compatibility

with seals and paints should be tested.

Concentrated compressor

conditioner

Klüber Summit VARNASOLV

Concentrated conditioner for cleaning

rotary screw and rotary vane compres-

sors, especially when changing over

from mineral-oil-based products to the

synthetic Klüber Summit DSL or SH oil

Klüber Summit VARNASOLV is added

to the oil fill at a concentration of 10 %

and should remain in the compressor

for 40 to 60 operating hours.

Then drain the compressor while the

oil is still hot.

When used at a concentration of

10 %, VARNASOLV is compatible

with all materials resistant to mineral

oil.

The oil ageing condition can be visu-

ally inspected (preferably before oil

change) by means of the

Klüber Summit TAN kit.
