The instruments are innovative in terms of compact size (1/4 DIN & 1/8 DIN versions) and cost-effective, yet full- featured in terms of ease of use, programmability, optional communication port and re-transmission signal output. It has full keyboard based operation for programming inputs, ranges, decimal point, linear or square root input selection and calibration. The LTRON-BT accepts 0/4-20 mA (linear/square- root), 0/1-5VDC, 0-10VDC inputs and is useful for all general purpose measurement. The instrument’s compact and highly functional fascia consists of a 16 digit, 7-segment LED display and 4-key tuctile keyboard for programming/parameter selection purposes. RS-232 or Rs-485 ports are optional for communication with DAS/SCADA systems. An isolated 4-20 mA re- transmission signal is also optional, and can be used for recording purposes or remote signal transmission to DAS/PLC/DCS systems. The enclosure is a 96x96x100 mm (WHD) sized engineering plastic enclosure suitable for mounting in panel cutout of 92 x 92 mm DIN size, via 2 clamps. The instrument has an IP-40 front facia and IP40 rear. 2. UNPACKING & INSTALLATION Unpack the instrument and check for presence of this Operation Manual, pair of clamps and physical damage if any. Report to the dealer for any shortages or warranty service/replacement. Install the instrument on the panel in a cutout as per the instrument size purchased, with the help of mounting clamps supplied. Connect power supply as ordered and marked on the instrument’s label. Wire the instrument preferably through an external fuse and a 0.5A MCB for additional protections against shorts/over current protection. The instrument display comes on when power on is done. In case of no display condition, check power supply cord or connection point, or instrument’s internal fuse (if blown, replace). Use EARTH TAG for proper earthing. In case of further difficulty, please contact dealer. 3. 4. PROGRAMMING

All alarm limits are configured in High mode (relay energizes when process value exceeds setpoint) unless specified in order, in which case it will be shipped with configuration as per order.

The instruments can be operated in divided in 5 modes:

Operation Mode - This mode operates the LTRON-BT

Limit Mode - Program flow value alarm/setpoints value

Batch Mode - Program batching alarm/setpoints values

Configuration Mode- Use this mode to re-configure the instruments input ranges, dp, input type.

Calibration Mode - Use this mode to calibrate the instruments inputs/outputOperation Mode

Normal Display

LTRON-BT normally displays the process value on its upper 4-digit display and Totalized flow on its lower 8-digit display. In case sensor/input is open or not connected, upper display shows 25% of the range at the ve side.Keyboard con-sists of 4 keys

Changing the setpoint of Flow Value

Alarm/setpoint values can be changed in this mode.

Enter this mode by pressing S + ( keys together.Press S key to select Alm1, gAP1, ALm2, gAP2, tFLO.Change alarm values or hysterisis (gap) by using ( , ( keysExit this mode by pressing S+( keys together, again.

Note: To reset tFLO value (00000000) press ( + M keys together.Changing hysterisis and limit type

1.Program a +ve sign GAP value to energize relay in High Mode (ON above setpoint, OFF below setpoint).

The value of the GAP decides the hysterisis.

For example, if +5.0 gAP1 is set, and Aln1 value is 800 C, relay will energize at 800 C, and reset again at 795 C.

2. Program a ve GAP value to energize relay when PV is less than SP & vice-versa.

Changing the setpoint of Total Flow Value

Batch Alarm/setpoint values can be changed in this mode.

Enter this mode by just pressing S key. Enter the correct password (optional).

Press S key to select LO_ALM(LS), HI_ALM(HS), Off Time(OF).

Change alarm values by using ( , ( keys

Exit this mode by pressing S+M keys together.Changing Batch Alarm value

Program a +ve value for LO Alarm and HI Alarm with LO Alarm value always lower than Hi Alarm value.

Both the relays energize when the batch is started and deenergizes when the Batch Total value equals the respective Batch Alarm values (if & only if user configures LS, HS mode for relay operation).Note: To Reset the Batch value of either alarms and OFF time to Zero (0000) press M key.00000015 LS01 (LO_ALM)00000025 HS01 (HI_ALM) 00.03 OF01 (Off Time)e.g.: If LO ALM= 15 and HI ALM = 25, then both the relays gets energize when the batch is started LO ALM relay deenergize when the Total Flow value equals 15.

HI ALM relay deenergizes when the Total Flow value equals 25.

When HS relay becomes off, Off Time of that batch Starts.Configuration Mode

NOTES

IMPORTANT NOTE: IN ALL SECTIONS, WHEN MULTIPLE KEY FUNCTIONS ARE REQUIRED, THE FIRST KEY IS TO BE PRESSED FIRST, AND KEEEPING IT PRESSED, THE SECOND KEY HAS TO BE THEN PRESSED, TO GO INTO THE PARTICULAR MODE. E.G. when S + ( key press instruction is given, press S key first, and keeping it pressed, press the ( key with another finger to get into setpoint change mode.

LTRON-BT WIRING DIAGRAM (UNUSED OPTIONS WILL BE IN BLANK CUTOUTS)Notes1. NC-P1-NO denote Normally Closed/Phase (Pole)/Normally open conditions of the relays. These can be configured in failsafe mode (NO contacts can be programmed and made to be energized as per High or Low limit requirement see Section II Operation).2. Terminals shall be provided as per order for no. of relays and optional feature (Retransmission and Communication port)

Enter correct password (Password Facility if specified), press S key to enter in to the batch start mode with lower display showing Str bACH and upper display displaying the starting batch 0001.Press M key to start the totalization of the flow value.

CALIBRATION PARAMETERSCalibration parameters for 0-5,1-5,0-10V DC and 0/4-20 mA/sqrt are stored independently.

QUICK CALIBRATION MODE (Quick-Cal)The LTRON-BT can be quickly calibrated for its input by adopting the following procedure. First configure the instrument for required input (e.g., mA). Enter into Input ZERO side calibration Mode (see section IV), and press S + ( together. The input automatically gets calibrated to the user configured Range Lo. Similarly repeat the same procedure for input SPAN side calibration.Fine calibration may be further required.
