Since being promoted to three star general and appointed to serve as the
Army’s Senior Intelligence Officer and Army G2 in 2012, LTG Mary Legere
has a been keynote speaker and featured panelist for many intelligence,
defense and leadership conferences, sharing her experience and
perspectives on a range of issues impacting the Intelligence Community
and national security sectors.
One of the nation’s foremost experts on defense intelligence, Legere has
appeared at the Aspen Ideas Festival, the Association of the United States
Army Institute of Land Warfare, the Intelligence and National Security
Alliance Summit, the INSA Women Leading in the Intelligence Community
Conference, AUSA Aviation Symposium, Harvard University Belfer Center
for Science and International Affairs Defense and Intelligence Project, the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology Lincoln Laboratory ISR System and
Technology Workshop and many others.
With three decades of leadership and intelligence experience, organizing
multinational efforts to support operations on multiple continents, Legere
is an engaging and entertaining speaker and leading authority on the
threats to the current and emerging security environment.
A successful innovator who has shepherded the Army Intelligence Corps
programs through a half decade of adaptation and modernization, Legere
provides her audiences with unique insights into some of the most
pressing intelligence issues of the day, including combatting Insider
Threats, improving Cyber Defense and improving personnel, industrial and
information security.
In the 33-years that LTG Mary Legere has served in the Army, she has
been recognized many times for her service.
Along with being selected to be a LTG and Army G2, LTG Legere was
awarded the Bronze Star for Exceptionally Meritorious Service, the
Distinguished Service Medal for Meritorious Service, the National Service
Medal from the Republic of Korea for Distinguished Service to the Republic
of Korea, and the Legion of Merit for Meritorious Service, along with many
other awards.
In addition to receiving honorary doctorate degree for exemplary service
from the University of New Hampshire, LTG Legere was recently
recognized as one of Washington’s Most Powerful Women for 2015.
