Alexander JusthamCEO, London Stock Exchange Plc

Alexander Justham (“JJ”) has been CEO of the London Stock Exchange plc since June 2012.

In this role, JJ oversees information services and capital markets products within LSE plc, including the UK primary markets business. He is also responsible for regulatory strategy, government and public affairs, and UK

regulation across the entire London Stock Exchange Group.

Before joining the London Stock Exchange Group, JJ served as Director of Markets at the Financial Services Authority (FSA) between 2008 and 2011.

During his time at the FSA, he represented the UK on the Board of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), and its predecessor organisation CESR. He co-chaired the G20 IOSCO task force on commodities, and also chaired the OTC Derivatives Regulators’ Forum. He received an award for Best Personal Contribution at the 2011 Financial News awards.

Prior to joining the FSA, JJ was a Managing Director at JPMorgan. He had worked for JP Morgan since 1989, holding a variety of roles including Co-Head of the Financial Institutions Group at JP Morgan Cazenove and Co-Head of Structured Finance, and Head of Securitisation at JP Morgan.

JJ holds an MA in Mathematics from Magdalene College, Cambridge.

Professor K C ChanSecretary, Financial Services and the Treasury

Professor Chan was Dean of Business and Management in the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) before he was appointed Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury in July 2007. Prior to joining the HKUST Business School in 1993, Professor Chan had spent nine years teaching at Ohio State University in the United States.

Professor Chan received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Wesleyan University and his M.B.A. and Ph.D. in finance from the University of Chicago. He specialised in assets pricing, evaluation of trading strategies and market efficiency and has published numerous articles on these topics.

Before joining the Government, Professor Chan held a number of public service positions including Chairman of the Consumer Council, Director of the Hong Kong Futures Exchange, and Member of the Commission on Strategic Development, Commission on Poverty, the Exchange Fund Advisory Committee, the Hang Seng Index Advisory Committee, and the Hong Kong Council for Academic Accreditation. He was former President of the Asian Finance Association and President of Association of Asia Pacific Business Schools.

Tong LiChief Executive Officer, Bank of China International

Ms Tong Li, holding a Master degree in Economics, has worked at BOC Group for over twenty years. Currently, she is the Chief Executive Officer and Executive President of BOC International Holdings Limited. Ms Li is also an Independent Director of Sun Life Everbright Asset Management Co., Ltd, the Vice President of the Chinese Securities Association of Hong Kong

and a member of the 11th Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.

Prior to her current position, Ms Li took up various positions including the Director of Credit Committee of the Association of Shenzhen Domestic Banks, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer and the Executive President of BOC International Holdings Ltd.

Caroline WilsonBritish Consul General, Hong Kong & Macao

Caroline took up her appointment as British Consul General to Hong Kong and Macao in October 2012.

She qualified as a Barrister before joining the Foreign & Commonwealth Office in 1995. A speaker of Russian, as well as Chinese, she worked on Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia before full time Mandarin study and

her first posting to Beijing in 1997.

Her portfolio included the Hong Kong post-1997 handover, and human rights. In 2001 Caroline served as First Secretary in the UK’s Permanent Representation to the European Union, drawing on her Master’s degree in European Community law to advise on UK negotiating tactics in European summits. From 2004-2006 Caroline was Private Secretary to the Foreign Secretary, where she worked on a wide range of foreign policy issues. She then moved on secondment to the Cabinet Office where as a Deputy Director she coordinated Whitehall policy on EU issues.

Caroline’s most recent job prior to Hong Kong was Moscow, where as Minister Counsellor and Director of UK Trade and Investment Russia she led on commercial, economic, energy, science and climate issues.

Stewart AldcroftChief Executive Officer, CitiTrust Limited, Hong Kong, Senior Advisor, Investor Services, Asia Pacific, Citi Markets & Securities Services

Stewart Aldcroft is Chief Executive Officer of CitiTrust Limited (CitiTrust) in Hong Kong. He is also Managing Director and Asia Pacific Senior Advisor for Citi’s Investor Services business within Citi’s Markets & Securities Services, a business unit of Citi’s Institutional Clients Group.

CitiTrust is the provider of trustee services to a number of Mandatory Provident Fund constituent funds, Approved Pooled Investment Funds and SFC-authorised unit trusts in Hong Kong.

As Senior Advisor for Citi Investor Services, he assists the business to develop new initiatives and grow its client-base and reach across Asia Pacific, advising clients outside Asia on accessing the region. He also leads the production of “thought leadership” pieces relevant to the fund management industry.

Stewart joined Citi in August 2011 and brings with him a wealth of experience from previous senior business development and leadership roles in managing traditional mutual funds, hedge and alternative investment funds, structured products and Exchange Traded Funds.

A veteran with deep knowledge of the Asia Pacific funds industry, Stewart has been based in Hong Kong since 1985. He has been a full member of the Hong Kong Securities Institute since 1999 and has been a Type 9 Licensed Representative and Type 4 Responsible Officer under the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission. Stewart has over the years held various memberships with the Hong Kong Securities Institute Education and Seminars Committee, AIMA Hong Kong Education Committee and Chapter Executive Committee, as well as the Hong Kong Investment Funds Association Executive Committee.

Stephen BaronDeputy Director, Strategic Solutions, Z-Ben Advisors

Stephen Baron has broad experience working with clients across various sectors in the financial services space. He has worked closely with clients including banks, hedge funds, prime brokers, asset managers, & custodians amongst others.

Mr. Baron came to China in 2009 to undertake his MSc in International

Business at Ningbo, Nottingham University after graduating with a Distinction he moved to Beijing to pursue further studies at Tsinghua University. After completing his studies in the middle of 2011 he then moved to Shanghai to join Z-Ben Advisors, a strategic consulting firm specializing in the Chinese investment management industry. Mr. Baron is now a Senior Account Executive at Z-Ben Advisors,

Z-Ben Advisors’ scope of business, centers on providing financial institutions with critical market intelligence via both timely analytical reports and advisory services. Areas covered by the firm include assistance with market entry and positioning as well as evaluating strategic near term trends and advising financial institutions more effectively penetrate the market for domestic and offshore institutional mandates.

Nicolas BertrandHead of Equities and Derivatives Markets, London Stock Exchange Group

Nicolas Bertrand is Head of Equities and Derivatives for London Stock Exchange Group. Appointed in 2010, Nicolas is responsible for UK and Italian equity markets and the Group’s derivatives markets. Nicolas joined Borsa Italiana in November 1999 and has been responsible for IDEM, the Italian Derivatives Market of Borsa Italiana, since January 2004.

In July 2009, Nicolas was appointed head of the newly created ‘Equity Markets and IDEM’ division within the London Stock Exchange Group, which combined the equity cash and derivatives markets for Italy and the UK. He is also a board member of FTSE and Turquoise.

Prior to joining the Exchange, Nicolas worked for Citibank and developed his expertise trading on various markets and asset classes. Nicolas graduated in econometrics and holds a postgraduate degree in finance (DESS 203) from Universite Paris IX-Dauphine in Paris.

John ChessherChief Executive Officer, Cenkos Securities Asia

John is responsible for building Cenkos’ business in Asia. He has spent more than twenty years in the investment management and investment banking industries, based in Europe and Asia. He has extensive experience in capital raisings globally, across a range of sectors and countries. John previously held positions as Head of Research and co-Head of Asia ex-Japan for Schroder

Securities and was later Head of Asia Pacific Equity Research for Schroder Investment Management.

John graduated from Oxford University with a degree in Engineering Science. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds an MBA and an MSc from Henley Business School. John has an ongoing interest in how markets operate and has lectured in finance at business schools in the UK and Asia.

Sean CunninghamHead of iShares Capital Markets, APAC, BlackRock

Mr. Cunningham is responsible for the iShares Capital Markets team across Asia Pacific, a specialist group dedicated to supporting clients with trade execution strategy, managing broker-dealer relationships to facilitate fluid primary and secondary market trading, providing relevant market perspective and helping to

influence an overall healthy ETF ecosystem.

With an international career spanning 13 years, Mr. Cunningham has worked at various asset management companies in South Africa and in the United Kingdom. Most recently, he was responsible for the broker dealer execution team in the iShares London offices. Prior to joining BlackRock, he was a member of the Emerging Markets Desk at Schroders Investment Management in London for more than 4 years.

Mr. Cunningham earned a Bachelor of Social Sciences majoring in Economics at the University of Natal in South Africa.

Manjiang ChengChief Economist & Global Head of Research Dept, Bank of China International

International Holdings Limited. China Finance 40 Forum’s Invited Expert. She is one of the leading China Economists in the Capital Market. Ms Cheng joined BOCI in 2002. She has over 17 years’ economy and finance research experience. Previously, she was Senior Economist with BNP Peregrine and Associated Professor in the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Ms

Cheng obtained her B.A and M.Econ from Renmin University of China and an MBA from University of Nottingham. She has rich experience in equity and economy research, and has earned a high reputation among domestic and foreign investors. Ms Cheng has won various awards in different activities. She has ranked Top 1 in the 13th “Vision Cup” Global Macroeconomic Forecast for the year of 2014.

Ian CohenManaging Director, COO Equities Asia & Chief Strategy Officer, HSBC

Ian is Chief Operating Officer for Equities Asia, the institutional sales and trading division of HSBC, and Chief Strategy Officer for HSBC’s Equities division globally. Ian is based in Hong Kong.

Ian is also the Chairman of the Equities Committee of ASIFMA, the Asia Securities Industry & Financial

Markets Association, and additionally Chairman of HSBC Securities (Taiwan), Chairman of HSBC Securities (Singapore), board member of HSBC Securities (India) and an advisory Board member of Quorum 15 Asia

Previously Ian held the role of Chairman of the AFME (Association for Financial Markets in Europe) Securities Trading Committee, the trade association that represents the broker/dealer community in Europe.

Ian joined HSBC from BCS Group Plc, a financial services consultancy and software company where he was a founding member and CEO. Prior to this Ian was CEO of Jiway Broker Services, the integrated Stock Exchange and CCP created by Morgan Stanley and OM Group.

Ian formerly held positions as European head of external Risk with Morgan Stanley, COO for IT for Barclays Capital and Director for Clearstream.

Prior to entering financial services Ian developed advanced software and algorithmic solutions for the Insurance, Petro-Chemical, Aviation and Defence industries across Europe.

Chen DingChief Executive Officer, CSOP Asset Management

Ms. Ding is currently Chief Executive Officer of CSOP Asset Management Limited. She joined the Company in June 2010 as the Chief Executive Officer overseeing its overall business. She led the Company to achieve great results including being the biggest RQFII manager in Hong Kong. Ms. Ding was also Assistant Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director of China

Southern Asset Management Co. Ltd. (“CSAM”) from 2003 to July 2013 where she established and managed the whole QDII business for the CSAM since July 2003. She was accountable for international strategic planning, fund product development and relationship management with various distribution channels and industry regulators of China Southern Asset Management Co. Ltd. The first QDII public fund in China was issued under her leadership at that time. Ms. Ding is awarded as the CEO of 2013 in Asia in Best of Best Award held by Asia Asset Management.

Jon EdwardsDeputy Head of Primary Markets – Emerging Markets, London Stock Exchange Group

As deputy head of primary markets Jon Edwards helps to oversee the work of London Stock Exchange’s Primary Markets team in the CIS and Asia Pacific regions. Jon is personally responsible for developing the London Stock Exchange’s business in Asia Pacific, the CIS regions and Mongolia, spending a majority of his time working with companies, advisors and

regulators in the region interested in London Stock Exchange markets. Jon and his teams in London, Hong Kong and Beijing work to promote both Main Market and AIM listings and work with companies to increase their profile among London’s investment community.

Mr Edwards studied at Columbia University where he received his BA degree in Russian studies and joint JD/MBA degree in business and law. He joined the London Stock Exchange in August 2003, before which he worked on private equity transactions for Incepta Ventures UK Limited, Delta Capital and BNP-Invest. Mr Edwards has fifteen years of experience working with international companies in the natural resources, consumer products, real estate and TMT sectors.

Lida EslamiManager, Listed Products, London Stock Exchange Group

Lida Eslami is responsible for sales, business development and relationship management for ETFs, ETCs and Structured Products within London Stock Exchange’s capital markets, covering both primary and secondary market. Prior to joining the Exchange in 2011, Lida worked at Deutsche Bank’s ETF structuring and sales team and Fixed Income portfolio

management team at Alliance Bernstein. She holds MSc in Finance from London School of Economics & Political Science.

Henry GlynnETF Capital Markets, Vanguard Investments Hong Kong Ltd

Henry Glynn joined Vanguard in 2009 and relocated to Hong Kong in September 2012. Henry supports the trading & execution of Vanguard ETFs. Monitors the ETF spreads and manages relationships in the market-making and exchange community. Ultimately servicing the ETF primary & secondary markets and assists Vanguard’s sales teams throughout the Asia region.

Prior to relocating to Hong Kong, he was responsible for the Corporate Actions and Pricing team within Fund Financial Services in Melbourne Australia. He also performed similar roles at Deutsche Bank & Global Asset Management in Dublin Ireland as well as the Commonwealth Bank in Sydney Australia.

Henry holds a Bachelor of Business Studies Degree from The Institute of Technology Sligo, a Specialist Certificate in Investment Funds from the Irish Institute of Bankers and Paper 1 via the Hong Kong Securities Institute.

Richard joined Panmure Gordon in 2002. and has also held senior positions at Lazard, Charterhouse and UBS He has worked in London and New York and has broad experience across research, equity sales, equity capital markets, corporate broking and corporate finance. His experience with Chinese companies includes leading the IPO of Hutchison China

MediTech who he currently advises.

Christian HoggExecutive Director and Chief Executive Officer, Huchison China Meditech Ltd

Mr. Hogg, aged 48, has been an Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer since 2006. He is also a member of the Technical Committee of the Company. He joined Hutchison China in 2000 and has since led all aspects of the creation, implementation and management of the Company’s strategy, business and listing. This includes the creation

of the Company’s start-up businesses and the acquisition and operational integration of assets that led to the formation of the Company’s China joint ventures.

Prior to joining Hutchison China, Mr. Hogg spent ten years with P&G starting in the US in Finance and then Brand Management in Laundry and Cleaning Products Division. Mr. Hogg then moved to China to manage P&G detergent business followed by a move to Brussels to run P&G global bleach business. Mr. Hogg received a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Edinburgh and an MBA from the University of Tennessee.

Tony HungExecutive Director, Portfolio Management, CCBI
