WORD Network SUNDAY @ 6pm

Dear City of Praise Family,

“A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men” (Proverbs 18:16). God has given each of you certain gifts, and these gifts are tied to your personality and purpose. Then He gives you a vision on how to use these gifts to become an outstanding blessing to others. If you write the vision, make it plain and turn over your vision to the Lord, He will give you direction and instructions, and will begin to open doors for you that you can’t even imagine. He will allow you to make divine connections, because there is always someone who has been given the mission to help you achieve your goals. There are no promises that the road will be easy, but you must be obedient beyond your comfort level, and trust God to build that bridge under your anointed feet. You must surround yourself with people who will motivate you, and God will use those people to encourage you as He takes you before great men. Good success is achieved when your gift leads people to know Jesus. Congratulations, Visionary. You are on your way.

God bless you,

COAT DRIVE — THIS MONTH

1Lion’s Roar

It is November again. It is the month in which the world has established a holiday to give thanks

for food, shelter, health and life. It is a once a year time when family and friends come together to feast and say thank you. It is a wonderful holiday. But saints, we are a peculiar people, and our God deserves so much more. We serve an everyday God who deserves an everyday praise.

Who is this King of Glory? He is the God who never sleeps nor slumbers, whose mercy endures forever, whose grace has brought us through the worst of times and has kept our feet from slipping (Psalm 66:9). His eyes are over the righteous and His ears are open to our prayers, so He watches over us and He hears our every cry (Psalm 34:15). God protects us from harm, gives us strength when we are weak, and is our very present help

whenever we need it (Psalm 46:1). God fights our battles and gives us the victory (Romans 8:31). He is our salvation, and He is our corrector, protector, inspector, provider, shelter, healer, lawyer, counselor, comforter, sword, shield, refuge, fortress, friend and Father. He is faithful. He is loving and kind, and because of Him, mercy and grace follow us everywhere we go (Psalm 23).

How can we repay the Lord for all His goodness to us? Remember His love every morning and His faithfulness every evening. Oh yes, you know Him. He is the one who wiped your tears at night and brought you joy in the morning. He’s the one who wouldn’t give up on you, and kept you so you wouldn’t let go. He is the one who continued to feed you when you lost your job. And He is the one who gave you that second, third and fourth chance. He sees in you so much more than you see in yourself. He is the one with the plan to prosper you and give you health and an expected end. He gave you purpose and a vision. If you ever need to look for a reason to thank Him, go to Psalm 91 and let the thanksgiving begin. “Be thankful unto him, and bless his name.” (Psalm 100:4) He is the great I AM. He is the Lord, strong and mighty. He is your Father. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Every day.

Cancer Recovery and Breakthrough

I declare that all sickness and disease must leave my body. I am healthy and God satisfies me with a long life.

The healing power that is working in me is the same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead, and drives out all disease.

Every day I am getting stronger, healthier and more energetic. I am resistant to all diseases including cancer, cardiovascular disease, Alzheimer’s disease, diabetes, autoimmune disease and every degenerative and infec-tious disease.

The curse of disease is reversed in my body and all or-gans and tissues affected by the disease are now restored and function normally.

I walk in divine health and no disease can attach itself to me. I am disease resistant.

I crucify my flesh daily and I give my body what it craves.

Father, I want to thank you that health and healing flow through my body and that sickness and disease cannot live in my body.

Now I hold fast to my confession of faith and remain in an attitude of gratitude, thanking God for restoring my health and enabling me to walk in divine health.

Developing the Anointing of a Winner

—EGO (“Edging God Out”) Must Go!By: Elder Robert L. George, Jr.

This class is mindset training designed to bring out the winner, the champion, in each

of us. The first step in developing a winner is to develop the WHY for winning. When you find your WHY (your purpose), you find your WAY; and you will do any HOW to achieve it. The class also emphasizes that if God doesn’t do it, it won’t get done. We have to let go of our egos, so that God can perform in our lives. Sincerely putting all bias aside, this class was powerful and it accomplished exactly what we set out to do — awaken the sleeping giant in all of us.

Testimonials:“What is success? What does it take to be a winner? These two questions helped me to identify the “why” behind my vision. I realized that the passion I have to be successful in my vision is the person I have to become to be a winner. My vision isn’t about me. It’s about the people I want to harvest by sowing a seed in me. Thank you Elder George. Your class was powerful!”

Tiara Mckinney

“It was definitely a blessing that I decided to attend the ‘Developing the Anointing of a Winner’ class! It assisted me with refocusing on God-given assignments; but it especially provided valuable information for the journey of pursuing my vision. I obtained the following key components from the class: To stay focused on your vision you must develop a strong reason ‘Why’ to accomplish it. Your vision must be much bigger than you and your ‘Why’ will not allow you to quit. Develop a list of scriptures to stand on that become your positive affirmations, confess those affirmations each day, continue to grow (via education, spiritually, etc.), do something (achievable) every day to work toward your vision, do not edge God out of your life as the vision develops, and endure until you are successful!”

Yana Carter

“I am a winner! Winners are humble, coachable, and focused. I showed up for my anointing giving 10% of my time. Now I’m putting 100% into action. That is what makes me a winner. I think therefore I am. God only makes winners! Thank you Elder George. I look forward to your next class.”

BISHOP JOEL’S UPCOMING SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS:

5Lion’s Roar

As I told you in the last Lions Roar issue, there are many ways to heal the sick. The Bible

speaks of Gifts of Healing (1 Cor. 12:9) . We first discussed “Point of Contact”, which is the laying on of hands, and how Jesus never told us to pray for the sick but to heal the sick. This article is a continuation of the last article.

Well, when God told me, “I never told you to pray for the sick. I told you to heal the sick”, the first thing I did was challenge the Lord. I

said, “Beloved, you said in your Word, call for the Elders. They shall pray for the sick and they shall be healed.” Jesus chuckled at me and responded in a rebuking, yet loving way, “I also said study to show yourself approved, and you have not studied that scripture.”

14 “Is anyone among you sick? He should call in the church elders (the spiritual guides). And they should pray over him, anointing him with oil in the Lord’s name.15 And the prayer [that is] of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord will restore him.” (James 5:14-15 AMP)

The first thing the Holy Spirit pointed out to me was that they “anointed” him with oil, which goes back to what we first discussed. You can’t anoint someone without touching them. Your hands are a point of contact to impart healing from the power of the Holy Spirit to them (oil is symbolic of the Holy Spirit). When we lay hands on the sick, that is the same as Jesus Himself touching the sick. In other words it is a caress from the Lord Jesus to His child who wants healing.

The second thing the Holy Spirit revealed to me is what the Prayer of Faith is. He told me that faith is the substance of things hoped for and

the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). Now, what is being hoped for and has not yet been seen in this case? THE HEALING! See, their healing is already done in the spiritual realm. It just hasn’t manifested in the natural realm. Something we need to know is that there are two kinds of healing. There are instant healings where we see the manifestation happen right away, and then there is progressive healing in which the healing may take a long time. Sometimes you would see when Jesus healed the sick. The Bible would say “immediately” they were healed and sometimes “as they went” or “in that hour” they were healed. So in progressive healing situations we have to call those things that be not as though they were. (Rom 4:17).

What is the prayer of faith? I asked the Lord this question, and He said, “The prayer of faith is a petition to me, reminding me of my promise in my Word, and holding me to my covenant commitment.” So we must remind Him of His Word before we begin ministering healing. When I visit hospitals and nursing homes, this is how I minister before laying hands -- I pray the prayer of faith. Then I lay hands and command the sickness/pain to leave.

“Father God I come to you in the name Lord Jesus, reminding you of your Word. You said you are the God that heals (Exodus 15:26). You said by the stripes of Jesus we are already healed (Isaiah 53:5). So I thank you for performing and staying true to your Word.” Then I lay hands and say, “Now I speak to this sickness/pain and I command you to leave this body right now in the Name of Jesus. I command this body to come back to God’s original manufactured and created way now in Jesus name.”

Again, there are many other ways to heal the sick and I will share with you more ways in future issues.

ABOUT OUR ONE MILLION SOULS CAMPAIGN

Join us in saving one million souls for Christ. Together we can

change the world!Matthews 28:18-20 says, “Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’” This is the foundation for the One Million Souls Campaign.

Will you join us? You can be a part of the One Million Souls Campaign —from wherever you are— in several ways. Here’s how:
