    Christian Education Volun-teer to teach either adult or chil-drens classes. No experiencerequired! If teaching isnt your

    strength, consider signing up totake a future class. Its a greatway to make friends while work-ing on your faith development.

    Heart n Hands Ministry Help organize activities relatedto fellowship. For instance, assistwith events like Friends& Fam-ily Sunday where we encourageeveryone to invite someone toworship, and then share a pot-luck meal together in FellowshipHall following the service.

    Audio Visual Ministry - Helpmake sure worship services run

    smoothly by helping with thesound equipment and projector.

    Technology Ministry If youhave experience with web sites,web site hosting, computer equipment, or social network-ingwe could really use your in-

    put. We are considering makingsome changes to our currenttools.

    Music Ministry - Volunteer to play an instrument, sing with the

    choir, or help organize a chil-dren's choir.

    Wedding Ministry - Assist the bridal party prior to and duringweddings. Coordinate activitieswith the pastor and the soundcoordinator. This is a new minis-try that is urgently needed as our church is hosting an increasingnumber of weddings.

    window, needs immediate attention to its structural integ-rity. If you love the way the light hits the sanctuary on Sun-day morning, have seen a visitor snap pictures of our win-dows, or simply wish to ensure a safe and structurallysound place of worship, please join us in raising funds torestore and protect our historic east window.

Wehave noticed that our youngfamilies are growing and it isoften challenging to find timeto connect with other parentsand families. The third Satur-day of each month will be atime when parents can cometo the preschool area and thechildren can play and the

    parents can visit and begin to build a sense of communityand support for one another.

    poverty in our local commu-nity. Subjects to be discussedinclude hunger, homeless-ness, education, and access tomedical care. I think this will

    be something that we can build upon as we consider how we can better serve thecommunity around us.

    September 10 we will havean all church effort for beingin mission. This would be agreat time for you to bringyour friends who want tohelp make a difference in our community. I am sure thatyou know many people thatwould love to help us accom-

    plish some construction pro- jects at The Bridge. If you

    Our college group has been meeting on Thurs-days for movie night we look forward to theschool year which will

    bring more friends to join us.

    In July, the youth grouphad fun at the St. LouisZoo. Even in the heat, itwas packed! We fed thesting rays and madestops by the misters tocool down. We evenmade a new friend (see

    picture to the right)!
