Children’s Church happens during the sermon at our traditional worship ser-vice. Children hear the same scripture upon which the sermon is based, talk about it, and act it out. It is geared for ages 3-7.
Worship for Kids happens concurrently with our modern worship service. Children lead and participate in their own worship service, including prayers, praise songs, scripture, and an interactive sermon. It is geared for ages 5-11.
Soul Food: A Word from Peter
Highways and Hedgerows Then the master told his servants, “Go out to the roads and country lanes and make them come in, so that my house will be full.” - Luke 14:23
Jesus once told a story about a King who held a wedding banquet for his son and invited many guests. However, on the day of the wedding banquet, they refused to come. All of them sent excuses.
Can you imagine how the King must have felt? After all, he was the King! And it was the royal wedding of his son! How could his subjects treat him with such disrespect? Nevertheless, the King did not cancel the banquet. Instead, he sent his servants to go out to the “highways and hedgerows” (streets and alleys) to invite the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame. Of course, this parable is about Israel – God’s chosen people. When the Son of God appeared – they rejected him and refused to join the party. And so, God invited the pagans and Gentiles who weren’t Jewish.
However, I believe Jesus is also speaking to us. Many times, we complain about the decline of the church. We wait for people to walk in the door - and we are surprised when they do not.
But Jesus calls us to urgent action! Instead of waiting for people to walk in the door, we need to go and get them! Instead of complaining about the decline of the church, we need to fi nd people in desperate need and bring them to faith in Jesus! In your own life, who will you invite? Where is your highway and hedgerow?

Feeding the Flock
Here at LPC, every Monday evening, we have the opportunity to provide a free hot meal to hungry people. Anyone in the community who is in need of a meal is welcome to come and eat. We feed about 30 of God’s “sheep” every week.
Food is prepared by teams of LPC volunteers. We work in teams so that no one works more than once a month, or every other month. Teams can be families or groups of friends. There even is a team made up of LPC youth.
The feeding ministry is in need of more volunteers, enough to make two teams. If you, your family or friends would like to volunteer as a team – great! If you don’t have a team but would love to volunteer, no problem. We will assemble a team with you and other individuals. The meals are wholesome and nourishing, but also simple and easy to prepare. All you need is a shepherd’s heart and a few hours of time on a Monday evening.
Will you consider joining this ministry? Would you like to feed God’s sheep? Please fi ll in the contact information below and place in offering plate if inter-ested. For more information, contact Jerry Hentschel at [email protected] or 513-850-9417.

A Celebration of Sacred Music on Friday, March 6
The musicians of LPC are celebrating the gift of music and worship with a special concert on Friday, March 6, at 7:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. This concert will feature classical and sacred works from our organist, Julie Shelton. In addition to organ solo music, you will also be treated to musical collaborations with Patty Corfman, oboe; Daniel Sachs, piano; Rachel Sachs, soprano; and our Handbell Choir, led by Rachael Earley. We will also be recognizing David and Joyce Palmer and Gary and Claudia Cunningham for their support of the LPC music ministry. The concert will be followed by a reception in the Narthex.
Our church is hosting a meeting of Midwest Presbytery on Friday and Satur-
day, February 21-22. More than 150 elders representing 60 EPC churches
are expected to attend. In addition, some of the visiting elders will need a
place to stay overnight. If you are able to help, please fi ll out the information
below, tear it out and put it in the collection plate this morning.
I am able to serve as a greeter.
I am able to help cook or serve dinner on Friday.
I am able to serve snacks on Friday afternoon or Saturday morning.
I have a guest room and am willing to host a visiting elder on Friday night.

WE PRAY Prayer of Confession Tom Way
Heavenly Father, we often feel like we are caught on a treadmill. We don’t know how to stop. We don’t know where we are going. We are running a race, but we don’t see the fi nish line. We live our lives in frantic haste, but we have lost sight of our goal. The problem is we have taken our eyes off of you. You have designed the course of our lives. Your Word is true: that “all the days of our lives were written in your book before one of them came to be.” In whatever joys or sor-rows we face, you have ordained it all for your good purpose. Forgive us, LORD, for taking our eyes off You. Forgive us, for losing sight of our heavenly goal. Help us to turn back to you – the source of hope, peace and assurance. Give us faith and courage, that we may run with perseverance the race set before us. We pray in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
