JULY 1, 2013Snow on the approach can be avoided, however those continuing to the Petzoldt Ridge will encounter snow from the Stettner Couloir. The Direct Start is recommended to avoid 1- the snow and 2- rockfall out of the Stettner.

The Lower Exum is starting to dry out. There is still snow on approach and descent. Ice axe and crampons recommended.
