are some ideas and information on perennials that are easy to
maintain and require minimal attention.

• These perennials prefer full sun and dry to moist soil, so be sure the area is well drained.
• Peony’s need to be pruned in late fall, after the first frost, and within a few inches of the ground.
Hosta•Hosta’s are a great plant for shady areas, and do not need much sunlight.•This perennial varies in height from 2 in. to 4 ft.•Flowers are white, lavender, blue, and purple.•Leaves are green, yellow, white, and blue and variegation is common.•Well drained soil is needed for best results.•Plant in spring or late summer.

Salvia•This perennial has spikes of small, densely packed flowers with aromatic leaves.•Plant in the spring and in full sun, with well drained soil.•Salvia bloom from early to late summer in shades of blue, violet, red, pink, and white.•This flower is heat & drought tolerant.

o A member of the mint family, so when you crush the leaves they are aromatic.
o Russian Sage should be planted in the spring in full sunlight and well drained soil.
o You will see these plants bloom in Mid Summer to Fall.
o Though they are drought tolerant, this perennial may struggle in a hot and humid summer.
