PenniBlack were contracted by Sportsworld to provide bespoke corporate lunch
boxes for some VIP Olympic sponsors, like BMW and Samsung, during the 2012
Games. Delivering gourmet bundles across the capital, from dawn to dusk, was a
fantastically fun challenge and gave Bolt a run for his money.
Declared, 'the best boxed lunches' they had ever seen, we delivered to thousands
of people, throughout the day, over two weeks, in venues across the capital. Gosh,
we were busy
Mick is our Head Chef, and he wears his hat well.
Before running his own restaurant, he worked at Michelin starred
restaurant, Conrad Gallagher, in Ireland. He has catered for the
Paris Air Show, and the MTV Awards in Madrid, and toured with
musicians like Andrea Bocelli, keeping the 'talent' eager for second
helpings. He has managed a team of several hundred staff and
catered for sit down meals in excess of 2,500 hungry guests.
Whatever challenge you throw at him, he will high five it and then
exceed all expectations. We wish Mick was clone-able. We can only
hope science will fix that one day.
Chelsea Hockley was thrown in the deep end in events at
the tender age of 15 and she definitely swam. With a
degree in arts and event management she brings to the
team a lot of experience, incredible multi tasking skills,
heaps of creativity and a meticulous organising system.
Her skills continue with a vast knowledge of sales,
marketing and social media, which means those delicious
pictures you see on our social media are all her.
Among hosting the sponsors boxes at the London 2012
Olympics and in her spare time organising large festivals,
Chelsea has spent the last two years co-ordinating and
managing events at three breath taking beachside venues
in Bournemouth organising large scale corporate
events from LV to Mercedes. Working closely with clients
from inception to completion, she understands vision and

Danelle Van Tonder is an extremely
experienced Events manager and co ordinator, with diplomas in
event and wedding planning, and hospitality management.
She has worked with the like of deloitte, JP Morgan, BMW and
much more, providing gala dinners, conferences, political events,
award ceremonies, seamlessly managing events for up to 2000
people.
She has recently married so completely understands the
stresses you're going through and is able to empathise. Truly
understanding how important it is to create the most amazing
day of your life and working closely with you to make it all come
true. Extremely creative her fun and stunning suggestions will
make your day totally unique, whilst never forgetting the
attention to every tiny detail.
Furthermore her bubbly personality and contagious enthusiasm
will have you so excited about your big day and you’ll be

Jessica Narey came to PenniBlack with events as her
passion. A creative eye and meticulous attention to detail
made it clear that she was the perfect addition to the
team.
Joining in the beginning of our busiest summer PB have
had in history, winning quotes, understanding
the clients needs, and organising totally bespoke
events. She'll sit with you to discuss your every need and
make it all come together. As our booker she has a vast
product knowledge, supplier savvy and a great personal
relationship with the extended PB waiting team.
Ordering equipment to suit your style and colour scheme,
she creates the mood and themes, books the flowers, works
with the chef to create menus totally unique to your
event. Weekly creative brainstorming sessions are never
dull with Jess and neither will your events be. Jess is the
girl with all the right connections, a booker, organises
personal events and looks after our staffing so send her

PenniBlack are proud to have Lawrence
Gnoyke as the events operations
manager. He has worked as both a chef
and manager for many years in top end
hotels, such as the Savoy, the Dorchester
and the London Hilton. He was the senior
banqueting operations manager at one of
the largest banqueting venues in London,
accommodating up to 1200 in one sitting.
Managed the International Olympic
committees catering requirements during
the 2012 London Olympics. A personal
alcohol licence holder and a first
aider. With all this under his belt, you
know your event will run completely
seamlessly, from start to finish.
Welcome back Monika Drozak, who has been part of the team PB since 2005, and had a year off to have her gorgeous baby boy Oliver. Monika is brilliant both back and front of house, as a chef or event manager. She makes everything she touches look beautiful, whether it’s the food and presentation, or the venue itself. Monika always has a solution to any problems, and makes everyone smile with her contagious enthusiasm and bubbly personality.
