Make Your own Bow Tie!This simple craft is a fun way to make your very own bow tie. You can have an awesome costume in seconds using just a piece of paper!
What you’ll need:
A piece of paper
Scissors
A piece of tape or glue
STEP 1:Cut a strip of paper about an inch wide from the shorter side of your sheet of paper. Put it aside for later.
STEP 2:Starting on the short side that you didn’t cut, fold a one inch strip of paper in towards the rest of the sheet.
STEP 3:Flip your paper over and fold another one inch section back the other direction.
STEP 4:Repeat the process, folding the paper back and forth in one inch sections until you reach the end of the paper. It should look like a paper fan.
STEP 5:Pinch the paper down in the middle so that the two sides form into the shape of a bow tie. You may need to spread the folds out slightly to get the correct shape.
STEP 6:Using the strip of paper you cut out at the beginning, wrap a loop around the center of the bow tie, and use a piece of tape or glue to hold it in place.
STEP 7:Wear your awesome costume!

Get Carried Away in Your own Hot Air Balloon!Ever dream you could get carried away just like Harriet?
Well, this hot air balloon might not be able to take you on an adventure, but it’ll look beautiful spinning around your room. Follow the instructions below
to make your very own mini-hot air balloon!
What you’ll need:
The hot air balloon template (next page)
5 pieces of construction paper (the more colorful, the better!)
A cardboard toilet paper tube
Tape
String
STEP 1:Cut out the template on the following page.
STEP 2:Trace your hot air balloon onto your construction paper. Put four other pieces of construction paper under the top one so that you have five all together. The more colors, the prettier your hot air balloon will be!
STEP 3:Cut out your five hot air balloons.
STEP 4:Fold each hot air balloon cutout in half.
STEP 5:Glue each side of the construction paper to a different hot air balloon cutout. The centers should all line up so that the folded centers of each balloon are in the middle, forming a 3D hot air balloon.
STEP 6:Cut out a two inch piece from an empty toilet paper tube.
STEP 7:Use your string or twine to attach the toilet paper tube to the bottom of your hot air balloon, forming the basket. Glue or tape another piece of string to the top of your balloon so you can hang it up when it’s finished.
STEP 8:Decorate your balloon! Color in the construction paper, glue sparkles onto the basket, or cut out a photo of yourself to put inside the basket. Go crazy! And use your imagination to get carried away!
