By equipping lead-ers, connecting congregations and missions and facilitating communication, the paper will help strengthen denominational ties across the country. Presbyterians are en-couraged to subscribe, and stay connected! After reading the first issue, one reader shared, “This publication is just what we need to keep connected across the country. I especially appreciated the very positive, hopeful and encouraging vibe of this issue. Thank you!” Presbyterians Sharing helps connect Presby-

LIBRARY NEWS

Sister Chicks by Robin Jones Gunn This is a series of 8 books that have a similar theme, but are all really stand alone books—ie, the characters are new in each book: Sisterchicks on the Loose Sisterchicks du the Hula Sisterchicks in Sombreros Sisterchicks Down Under Sisterchicks say Ooh La La Sisterchicks in Gondolas Sisterchicks go Brit Sisterchicks in Wooden Shoes Each book features two women… sisters, friends or even in one case strangers… who go off on holiday together, and the adven-tures they have on these holidays. Some of the books feature one woman who is strong in her faith, and the other who is struggling because of some event in her life that has made her unsure, shaky or even doubtful. They are light stories, funny, but with an underlying faith story that makes you think. I really enjoyed these stories and have been re-reading some of them with the same en-joyment. Over the next couple of weeks, I will give you a review of a few of them. Christine Hunter, Librarian
