With circular needles and RS facing, pick up and knit 51 (53, 55, 59, 61) sts across back, pick up and knit 71 (71, 73, 77, 79) sts across front; 122 (124, 128, 136, 140) sts. Place marker and join in a rnd.

Rnd 1: *K1, p1; rep from * around.

Rnd 2: *P1, k1; rep from * around.

Rep rnds 1–2 until collar measures 4H". Bind off loosely in pat.
