LEAPS Summer School
• 7-week Summer School taught across partner campuses
• Supports entry, transition and retention in Higher Education
• 3 courses of university level study including Academic Skills
• LEAPS-eligible* (WP criteria), from 59 state schools in SE Scotland
• Students hold a conditional offer of a place at uni. in the UK
• Reports written for each student to support admission

*Unpublished data from ‘LEAPS Survey 2012: exploring attitudes to learning in higher education’. 110 of the 170 prospective Summer School cohort completed the survey (64.7%). Of these, 12.7% chose the option ‘I feel very confident that I will be able to achieve the standard of work required at university’, 70.9% chose ‘confident’ and 16.4% ‘uncertain’.
