Develops strong bones (Increases bone density); 2. Helps to control weight (As you gain muscle, your body burns calories more efficiently); 3. Reduces the risk of injury (Building muscle helps protect joints from injury.) 4. Boost stamina (As the body gets stronger, it does not fatigue as DUSTAN HOWELL began training in the martial arts in his teens; and for the past ten years, he has become accomplished in weight training and body-building using resistance exercises for cardio fitness. Dustan is a fitness expert in strength training, and he works with clientele who range in age from young adults to seniors. Dustan specializes in strength training and believes that through strength training, one can achieve and maintain optimum health. For the past two years, as a freelance personal trainer, Dustan originated the B.A.B.Y. program, acronym for “ Build A Better You.” B.A.B.Y. is not a quick fix approach to fitness and good health. It is an innovative personal training program that uses resistance training, also known as strength training, to promote fitness among youth and adults, including seniors. B.A.B.Y. is a systematic holistic program, that over time, through training, education, and commitment, people, who are physically unhealthy can become healthy and people who are in good health can stay healthy as they age. The benefits of becoming a B.A.B.Y. member are listed on the back of this brochure. B.A.B.Y. specializes in resistance training as a way of improving overall health and well-being. The focus of the B.A.B.Y. program is resistance training as the primary method of getting fit and staying fit. B.A.B.Y. uses a combination of free weights and equipment devices in its personal training program. Free weights allowed full ROM (Range of Motion) and free weight resistance exercises are easily adapted to fit most clients in terms of physical size and/or special requirements. Equipment: Dumbbells, Barbells, Kettle Bells, 45 lb. Olympic Bar and Weight Bench, Stretch Bands, and Resistance Tubes. Typical Movements: UPPER BODY: Bench Press, Incline Bench Press, Seated Shoulder Press, Bent Over Rows, Single Dumbbell Rows, Seated Twists, Preacher Curls, Deadlifts, and more. LOWER BODY: Squats, Lunges, Stiff Legged Deadlifts, Calf (TOE) Raises, Leg Extension, Crunches and more. Exercises are modified to fit each client based on ability and physical limitations.
