Los Angeles World Airports TM RESOLUTION NO. 27006 WHEREAS, on recommendation of Management, there was presented for approval, Amendment to Letter Agreement and Update to the List, previously approved by the Board by Resolution 26996, covering Non-Exclusive Air Carrier Operating Permits and Terminal Lease & License Agreements to extend the deadline to execute deferral of the payment of terminal rental, terminal use and airfield fees; and WHEREAS, on April 9, 2020, the Board approved a temporary deferral of Terminal Rents and Airfield Fee Obligations program for airlines that sign and return a Letter Agreement by April 30, 2020. Due to delays securing appropriate City of Los Angeles approvals for this proposed Letter Agreement (as this item is subject to approval by the Los Angeles City Council), staff recommends amending the Letter Agreement to extend the deadline to May 31,2020. Further, the initial list of leases eligible for this proposed program inadvertently excluded one (1) lease for a shared airline lounge; and LAX Van Nuys City of Los Angeles Eric Garcetti Mayor Board of Airport Commissioners WHEREAS, at the meeting, the Board approved staffs request to amend said list, referred herein as Attachment 1, attached hereto and made part hereof, in order to correct LAXSUL's Board Agreement number to LAA-8768; and Sean 0. Eshaghiart Beatrice C. Hsu Nicholas P. Roxborough Dr. Cynthia A. Telles Karim Webb WHEREAS, actions taken on this item by the Board of Airport Commissioners will become final pursuant to the provisions of Los Angeles City Charter Section 606; Justin Erbacd Interim Chief Execidive Officer NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Airport Commissioners adopted the Amended Staff Report; determined that this action is administratively exempt from CEQA pursuant to Article II, Section 2.f of the Los Angeles City CEQA Guidelines; approved Amendment to Letter Agreement and Updated List of Non-Exclusive Air Carrier Operating Permits and Terminal Lease & License Agreements, as listed in Attachment 1, attached hereto and made part hereof, for deferral of the payment of terminal rental, terminal use and airfield fees; and authorized the Interim Chief Executive Officer, or designee, to execute the amended Letter Agreement with the revised execution date, upon approval as to form by the City Attorney and approval by the Los Angeles City Council. oOo I hereby certify that this Resolution No. 27006 is true and correct, as adopted by the Board of Airport Commissioners at its Special Meeting held on Thursday, April 16, 2020.
